you can send your new address to USCIS online and also call the 1-800 number to make sure the address change has been accepted. I have heard when you update on-line they also email you the update notice. also you can submit a forwarding address with the post office so that ALL of your mail gets sent to your new address. since you are not moving out of state, I doubt that will have any impact as far as changing your local office.

It won't. Be sure you file the AR-11 (you get a receipt if you file it online), also call the 1800 number and also file the I-865 (the sponsor, or the USC spouse, fills in this one).

Naturalization

Make sure to call local office to update your adress for each case. Then wait for their confirmation letter stating address change. When I changed address, my lawyer forgot to call the local office and the mail returned to immigration, which slowed down our case for about 2 months.

When you call 1-800 number, they will ask you where your case (file) is.
