Once an interview is scheduled - a medical can done at either of the authorized panel physicians correct? I'm trying to avoid having to stay in Montreal for a week when I can make a quick trip to Toronto to get it done and have it mailed and then fly to Montreal for my interview.

Anyone have advice or have done this themselves?

the medical is usually valid for 6 months, that is tied into your visa. I booked mine in Montreal one week before my interview, and planned to pick up my results the day before my interview. Some of the doctors take 3 to 4 days for results. I wanted as much time on my visa as possible, but I got my interview notice a month ahead, not everyone does.It was also spring so hotels were more readily available.

My plan is once my interview is scheduled which will hopefully be soon as our case is complete that I can fly to Toronto for my medical - have it mailed back to me then go to Montreal for my visa interview with medical in hand.

You don't see that being any issue? I'm trying to avoid more vacation days to be taken and less time spent in hotels

that sounds like a good plan.

It depends on how long it takes them to get it back to you. One doctor takes a few weeks and it's extra $$ for it to be mailed back.

Check with the panel physicians.

Also if you're flying to Toronto, check the flights with Montreal as well. You could fly to and from Montreal twice.

I would recommend that any Immunizations that you don't have the documentation in hand , or is not current, that you go ahead an get those vaccines before your visit. There may not be enough time to get the proof of vaccines after the fact and turn it around for the interview.

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

I just noticed that you live in furthest west Ontario as possible.

Why do you want to fly to Toronto? You can also fly to Surrey, BC and get Dr. Gulzar Cheema
7170 – 120th Street
Surrey, BC V3W 3M8

Dr. Cheema gives the results next day. You can pick that up yourself. Toronto ones takes sweet 2 weeks.

The issue is with that is that: I can get a direct flight to toronto from Winnipeg manitoba. I can stay for free there. Whereas Surrey, I have at least one connection to British Columbia and then a drive from Vancouver to Surrey. PLUS the tickets are double the price then to fly to toronto.

Thank you for the suggestion, I had thought of that. :)
