Hello everyone,

I was wondering if you all could help me out again. My husband was interviewed last Friday and approved. The visa was issued Tuesday (also happened to be his birthday) and it has been at the courier since yesterday. However, my husband works as a butcher so he works until 5 and the only depot in Nottingham is an hour away from him.

My question is A.) How late is the depot open? and B) How long will they hold onto your stuff?

If they close at 5 everyday and are closed Sundays then my husband won't be able to get his visa till next week. :(

Thanks for all the help!

Ring them up and ask what kind of arrangements can be made. Maybe he could arrange for delivery to the butcher shop for a fee.

Also, why can't he leave work a little early? Will they fire him? He's quitting the job anyway.

That is a rather brilliant idea that I didn't even think about! You are seriously a life-saver Nich-Nick. I shall talk to him about this as soon as he is off of work. Thank you so much for your help again!

His bosses are total jerks and do things that aren't right. And he is quitting but we were advised by our lawyer for him to leave after our 2 year anniversary so we can try to get the 10 year green card. This means that he will be there for at least another month and would rather be making money the whole time before he flies over.

Ugh, I wish all this stuff wasn't so complicated.
