I came to the US on a K1, which expired in September. We got married before that and didn't file my AOS until November. I got my greencard with absolutely no problem at all. Wasn't even mentioned at the interview, all he cared about was that we got married within the 90 days.

Well that makes me feel a little better now...hearing an actual account of someone doing that! Thanks for putting my mind a little more at ease

Whether or not you're out of status, the fact is that ICE isn't going to come to deport you on day 91, in fact they will probably never show up. Although you're accumulating overstay for every day over the 90, all those days are forgiven when you file for AOS, so will never be an issue in your life.

Its better to take your time to make sure everything is good than to rush to meet this 90 days "deadline" and make a mistake you could regret. Take your time: you've got plenty.
