Hi, we submitted our I-751 package on April 17th and it was received on April 20th (NOA1), but my husband hasn’t received his biometrics appointment yet.

We’ve made 2 service requests and have received the same message for both:

“Thank you for your inquiry regarding an appointment to have your biometric images processed at an Application Support Center (ASC). We are unfortunately experiencing a longer processing period than what is reflected on your Form I-751 Receipt Notice for this process. Please know that your name has been electronically added to the appointment scheduler. You will receive an ASC appointment notice by mail once an appointment date has been established for you.”

Given that most people get their appointments within a month or two, we’re beginning to worry about this delay. We had been hoping to travel outside the country for a couple weeks this summer but have been waiting for this appointment. We could’ve gone and returned already had we known that it would take this long!

Is anyone else in this situation? Has anyone else received their appointment this late? Is there something else we should do?

Appreciate your feedback!

Definitely call... Happened to me, I am actually still waiting. It's been almost 4 months since I filed! Called many times and was told that nothing was scheduled ( I bet they didn't even check my case), then once told I would be scheduled for July 6-7 and if I don't get the letter by July 1st to call. I called and was told again that nothing was scheduled... Then called earlier this week to find out I missed my appointment on July 6th but never got the letter. They are trying to re-schedule me now but I made an info pass appointment for July 24 and I will just go and hope they will do it for me since I was already scheduled... This is super frustrating, you're not on your own ;) but definitely keep calling. You don't want to end up being accused of abandoning your case...

i highly recommend that you call them. They sent me one only after my lawyer called them to check.

Thanks, sammyboy34 and sabi! We will give them another call next week. sabi, did you ask for a tier 2 officer? The officers we've spoken with so far haven't had any information for us. They have simply take my husband's information and submitted a service request. Thanks again!
