I dont think Iam misunderstanding you.

You said (since the person actually printing the K-1 stamp at the IV unit made this huge mistake, the visa stamp can be redone.)

The way I understand it is the IV unit (embassy) looks at what Saint Lukes has for an expiration date and that is what they put on the stamp, (They can not deviate from the medical record expiration date)

There was no mistake from the clerk at the embassy printing the visa they are doing as they should and pulling it from the medical record, they can not over ride the medical record. Its saint lukes that made the mistake.

The other important part you are referring to is Please put <her name, her MNL#> on the list of authorized entries with your security guard team first thing in the morning. Please call her at <her handphone number> as she will be waiting outside at 11:45 AM to check in with the security guard.

PLEASE PASS THIS EMAIL TO A VICE-CONSUL

And sure we can sure try this Tuesday, but #1 they probably wont respond and if they do they will tell us based off of the medical date expiring there hands are tied.

Our best chance is to TRY CFO monday, maybe someone will not show up and she can fill there spot or God will put in someones heart to have compassion on her. If she gets through that then hopufuly I can find a flight out.

If that fails then tuesday be at the embassy hoping that they have read my email.

no, it's the issuance date on the medical, not any medical record expiration date.

Sorry.

and, it's 6 months, 180 days, from medical exam issuance date.

Not what you said.

Sorry.

I stand by what I wrote, earlier.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

We did not see the medical records because saint lukes sent them to the embassy, BUT, when she went to saint lukes to get the sputum results saint lukes told her she didn't have TB and they they would send records to the embassy, saint lukes also told her to be in the U.S by the 22nd of july. Then when she got visa it also said 22nd of july.

So there must be some kind of expiration date on saint lukes medical record.

I honestly cant say because I didn't see them.

But I do understand what you are saying about the 180 days, maybe someone here that has seen the medical records and hand delivered them to embassy can clarify? But then again maybe hand deliver is in a sealed envelope.

But yes I can try with the embassy and see what happens.

Hi, I think it's not a mistake of printing visa. The Embassy called me when they print my visa and told me that my visa validity is not what in my passport its the validity of my medical. And they really put a sticker on my passport that my visa will expire on Aug.22, my visa issued last July 2, and they stamped on my immigrant visa summary. Aug. 22. I'm not blaming her. But she suppose to attend the seminar of CFO. While waiting for her visa, so that all she needs is the sticker. Which only took 5 mins. For me in CFO Cebu.

Ok we will try. this is on cfo site, are the times true? I thought I read somewhere that they don't divide country's up, everyone just shows up at 5am then they fill slots, but maybe things have changed since that persons post?

United States of America

Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

(70 slots everyday)*

10:00 am - 12:00 nn

Tuesdays and Fridays

(70 slots everyday)*

2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

You are looking at the wrong CFO information. Look for Spouses and fiancees.

I have another question, how the heck do you remove your visa/passport from the package if your not supposed to open it?

No issue opening the plastic bag. The DO NOT OPEN envelope is what you need to protect.

she needs 2 ids for cfo, all she has is postal id and passport and embassy had passport for over a month :(

Personal copy of NBI can be used as ID

Thanks Hank, i went back to the web site, your correct I was looking at the wwwwrong info.

I was wondering about this also (Photocopy of Immigrant Data Summary for USA-bound emigrant (must not be detached from visa packet) except for K visa holder)

Does this mean there is no data summary for K visa holder or they just do not need a copy or its ok to remove it from the package if its there?

The visa package as delivered is intact and ready for transport to POE. You remove the passport by making a slit, using a razor blade, just long enough to remove the passport. Once you have the passport removed then carry the passport with you at all times once you depart for the airport. Do not let anyone open the package except for immigration at your POE. So have it with you in your carry on.

There is nothing that you have to copy that is contained in that visa packet.

Question about crossing zones, so her visa expiration date says july 22nd, if she shows up at manila airport on the Philippines 23rd wouldn't it be the 22nd when she lands in the U.S.? How does that work, will point of entry honer it as long as its before midnight on the 22nd? Would manila allow her to fly out?

Or does she have to make port of entry in the U.S on the 21st?

Or does she have to make port of entry in the U.S on the 21st?

Here is what the official word and I quote:

"What the Visa Expiration Date Means

The visa expiration date is shown on the visa along with the visa issuance date. The time between visa issuance and expiration date is called your visa validity. The visa validity is the length of time you are permitted to travel to a port-of-entry in the United States."

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/general/visa-expiration-date.html

One other note; As long as the visa is valid, a person can apply at the port of entry (POE) for entering into the US, even on the last day of the visa expiration date. The expirations date is a 24 hour period ending at 12 midnight, so your fiancée can travel and enter the US on the last date of the validity of her visa. Now, ever so slim, but if the immigration officers at the port of entry makes a decision that is not in your favor then that is the last word and she will return. Chances of that happening are odds that I would play in Las Vegas and I am not a betting person.

Take the chance and you roll the dice. From your story, you may not have much of a choice but for her to travel on the last day of validity of her passport.
