Police Certificate Name Misspelled

Hi guys.

We're in the last stretch before our interview and my fiancée's UK Police certificate came in the mail with a misspelled middle name. Her first and last are correct but it looks like the middle name was fat fingered (i.e. two letters are transposed). Do you believe it's really necessary to get a new police certificate delivered from the UK (@ a cost of around $150)? Will anyone notice? It is 1 of 2 police certificates she will be giving to the consulate considering her home country is Mexico.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Since you still have over a month, I'd call ACRO and tell them to sort the name out (for free). With the amount of money they ask for, and the amount of information they need, they could at least do something as simple as double checking their spelling before they send it out.

I had to get 3 police cert, UK, Belgium and Holland and I don't understand why they make the UK one so hard to get, and ask that much money for it.

I had the same problem with one of the police certificates, where my last name was misspelled. I added an explanation with the document and had no problem at all.

I had the same problem with one of the police certificates, where my last name was misspelled. I added an explanation with the document and had no problem at all.

What's the difference between police certificate and criminal record? -the latter is the terminology we use here in Denmark by default. Is a police certificate the version for someone who hasn't done anything criminal?
