I'm getting ready to complete the I-134 for K1, and would like to hear your advice on what is required and what is good to have (or safe to have) as supporting evidence.

I work for a company so am not self-employed. Then do I only need to provide employment verification letter and 3 recent paystubs? I read that other people also provided 2-3 recent income tax returns even though they are NOT self-employed. Is the tax return just a good to have, or is it likely to be requested during the K1 interview?

It's going to take me a while to file my 2006 tax return but I'd like to give the completed I-134 to my fiancee on my upcoming trip to meet her. So if the tax return is not needed, I'd rather not wait for it.

I also own a co-op apartment and has mortgage on it. Do I need to put its value on the "I own real estate valued at" line and the mortgage amount on the "With mortgage(s) or other encumbrance(s) thereon amounting to:" line?

I hesitate to list them because I am not sure what documents to provide as supporting evidence for them. I'm not even sure how to value the apartment. So if it's not required or related questions won't come up during the K1 interview, I don't want to create additional preparation work for myself.

Thank you all in advance for your advice.

Thanks, loonphang. Did the interview officer ask to see the income tax returns?

Just to be sure, I don't need to mail the I-134 and its supporting evidence to NVC or the embassy, right? I only need to give them to my fiancee who will take them to the interview?
