READY status question

When NVC status reaches READY, how long does it take for a notification from the embassy usually? Not sure if I have to take any steps now like filling out the DS-160 and scheduling the appointment or wait! The message box says if interview already scheduled, gather documents and show up, if not, wait for a notification of your appointment. Doesn't sound like they will schedule it for me based on what I've read here so far. (It is going to Moscow, Russia)

How do you check for status such as ready,or in transit? When i log into my account, i can only see the fees that were paid and DS 261 completed. Is that the same place where those as shown?

Goto https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ and click on "Check My Visa Application Status"

I did. However i'm the only one from my country here which u would think the Ambassy is not really busy. Nope, i still haven't gotten the interview date for my mom.
