Hi everyone!

I’ve been in “administrative processing” AP status since June 2nd in Montreal (The day I had my interview). I’m applying for an H1B visa from a reputable university in the U.S. Has anyone else applied through the consulate in Montreal. This waiting is absolutely killing me!

Thanks.

are you canadien citizen? if yes, why not come across on a TN-1 visa instead?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

We have an answer, presumably a T country.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Countries involved with terrorism, Pakistan etc

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

The initial question left out highly relevant information, having extracted it the question was answerable.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

You are getting your countries confused still, Hercule was from Belgium.

Well done Mr. Poirot! You completely figured this out. Who knew AP was done for citizens from dodgy countries!

uhm, everyone that has a passport from a dodgy country ! Well, at least, they learn of this AP from friends that have gone through the process before. Relax a bit, aye? If yer a passport holder (or your birth certificate is ) from one of the T countries, expect a longish AP. I feel bad for you, no one in your circle of friends brought this up earlier.

Still, it is what it is, ya gotta wait it out. Can you confirm with the NIV Unit there that the casefile was sent to DC for an advisory opinion yet, and if yes, on what date? Knowing that date is important..
