My wife arrived here on a K-1 last year. She has AP and is going to visit her parents in Russia this week and is returning to the U.S. April 21st and our AOS interview is April 26th. Of course, she has an I-94 stapled to her passport from her first arrival into the U.S. Should we keep the old I-94 stapled onto her passport or take it off?

If we leave it on, when she arrives back into the U.S., will immigration remove it and keep it? Bottom line question is the first I-94 needed for the AOS interview given that she will have a new I-94? Thanks for your help!

The I-94 will be removed by the check-in staff at her departure... she will have to complete a new I-94 when she returnes to the states...

NO she does not need the old I-94 for interview... The new one will be stapled into her passport.. thats all they will look for at interview...

Hope she has a good trip and good luck for the interview...

I was told NOT to remove my I94 at any time. I also was told or should I say it was hammered into my head that the I94 does NOT guarnatee I can back into the USA if I went to Canada (back to) for anything. I just got my PR card and the girl who interviewed me looked into my PP for my I94 and said "good it has not been removed" . she then removed it and stamped my PP. Hope this helps.

It's like Kezzie said. YOU don't remove it. The airline staff will. And YOU will get a new one upon return to the US.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."
