Believe it or not, our letter came on a Friday and the interview was scheduled a week from the next Monday, so we had 10 days notice for our AOS interview from K1. That being said, they are so backlogged it is highly unlikely they will schedule it so soon.

It would be really bad idea to miss the GC interview.

We have specifically not planned for any long term out of state trips

intentionally while we are waiting for our GC.

Also, you just file few months ago. We filed in Dec/2014, and we received

the potential interview waiver letter with projected processing date of

end of Sept/2015, but I'm seeing that many are taking about a year.

So unless you are lucky enough to get interview scheduled quickly,

likely you are looking at about 1 year.

Thank your lucky stars you have an actual interview. I would have given anything for one, as we are still waiting 15 months later for my greencard, because we were waived for an interview. So, in my opinion, get there no matter what. Don't tempt fate...you are one of the most envied of aos people

Yes it depend on the local office. Joan and I filed early September 2013 and were interviewed/approved in November.

I think those with the interview waiver are the lucky ones. Sure they wait a little longer, but the wait is well worth dodging a Stokes Interview.

I'm sure the interview process..especially if you are made to have a stokes one, is not stress free. But we would still rather that than still be waiting this long. The quicker this whole process goes the better.

Most interviews are not of the Stokes variety, so people should not stress out and worry over that if they receive an interview appointment.
