wishing all a happy wednesday.

anyone know what's up with jp? her account is disabled.

JP left because of you and GEG. She was tired of GEG's endless tirades, as well as you egging it on and coming here with no purpose other than to stir trouble. She feels this forum has become nothing more than a playground for the two of you to run wild in, she got tired of it, and saw no end in sight where GEG would give up her constant nagging and maligning of forum members or where you would stop trying to further it along.

I am only answering because you asked. This is not conjecture and JP has given me the go ahead to explain. Ewok can confirm these are her reasons as she explained her decision to him.

interesting. such could apply to a few other people too if one thinks about it. personally i don't have anything against jp but she seems to have something against me.

in conclusion, you know what they say about opinions ;)

I miss all the people who have stopped posting. There are quite a lot of them.

Jean, what's so horrible about today? *hugs* for you

Today was one of .............. *those*................... days. Mohammed got his first paycheck last night, finally, so he wanted to take me out to dinner. We went to Red Lobster and feasted. Two hours later, we both waltzed back and forth to the bathroom with a mild case of food poisoning. (It's a real good way to get over that "I'm embarassed of verbal bottom and bodily function syndrome" thing newlyweds can go through.) Then after being up and down all night, I woke up in a panic cuz lover boy turned my alarm clock off yesterday because he just must fidget with everything and I was 20 minutes late. I went flying out the door to discover a very heavy fog had snuggled itself into the Ohio Valley so the drive was a blast. And my mood was cruddy. And somebody else who shall remain nameless was on day 5 of a terribly cruddy mood because he hadn't heard back from his prospective new employer and an unemployed Mohammed just sucks to be around. Thankfully, he caught the bus today, went downtown and discovered that they were indeed hiring him, he completed all his paperwork, and he begins a lovely, stable, steady full time job first thing tomorrow morning and we can even go to work together. THANK YOU GOD. I thought I was going to have to roll him in duct tape and stuff him in the closet until he could chill out.

Speaking of "chill"... the restaurant where he was previously waitering that I won't mention (cough... ) was really not a very good experience for him. In some ways it was, but the managers wanted him to be all flirty and studdly with the female (and gay male) clientelle and he said "NUH UH". He's pretty glad to put that one behind him. Woo hoo.

Oh and he's training until midnight which means I get to get up and go get him and then get up again at 4:45 am so I can be at beloved (not) desk.

The end. :D

Sounds like a handful... but just remember how much better a sucky day together is than a sucky day apart

Hope tomorrow's better, and congrats to Mohammed on the job.

Oh, and here's an article from the New York Times, it talks about the neuropsychology of flaming people on the internet. Not seeing the person makes you unable to guage their reaction and therefore the part of you that would normally disinhibit saying such mean things shuts off, leading to being mean online.

"It says that when students feel upset, they should remember that the red light means to stop, calm down and think before they act. The yellow light prompts them to weigh a range of responses, and their consequences. The green light urges them to try the best response."

IT seems lately most have been trying this, hopefully it will continue. There are many good people here and it will continue

I enjoy this forum and I am sorry that things are not the way they used to be. This forum is like family and it has helped me out so much. I only hope that I will be able to help at least one person out that comes here to look for an answer to "Pay It Forward."

All families have good times and bad ones, that is why it is called unconditional love.

I am really sorry that JP isn't with us anymore. I don't know what happened but I just saw some of the posts here. I thought JP is awesome and was always helpful with me. It stinks that we can't keep it together. Even if we get upset with each other and get ugly it's ok to say I love you anyway and apologize!!! This week just keeps getting better, I just found out our case is in the mail on it's way to Amman from NVC!!! I'm beside myself with excitement. I know Amman is gonna be like a 6 month wait but it's all good! It seemed like forever just to get here.

Hope everyone has a great night!

I understand JP completely and I definitely see why she did it. I am not going to mention any names but there are certain members who make this forum painful to participate in and it's a real shame. I really enjoyed reading here and posting and hopefully being a helpful resource to some but unfortunately the negatives outweigh the positives these days. I am always happy to help people when I can but the social aspect of this forum has gone downhill. It seems that most of the forum becomes corrupt when certain people are around.

Peace!

It is easier to blame others. Frankly, I'm feeling no pain. If someone chooses to martyr themselves on the pier of self-pity because of this forum, so be it. There are people here who make it painful for me to be here (fewer of them now), and when I see them blaming others instead of looking at themselves, I just shake my head. If it wasn't so gross and abnormal, I would laugh. There was plenty of fighting before I got here, and I used to reap praise for tangling with VP from some of the very people who are whining about me now. So, I don't feel any guilt for how I became part of it. In fact, I have a theory that as it got harder to bait me into fighting, and Ewok became more vigilent about this board, the waning drama became unbareable for some and they stopped posting.

Get over it people. What's done is done. You can make things better from here or keep looking back. I don't plan to beat a dead horse to mourn about what supposedly used to be, but then, I lost my rose-colored glasses long ago.
