Do you definitely file your I-601 waiver at the interview?

I just read a post on another forum, albeit 3 years old, whereby someone took all their I-601 paper work to the interview and were told that they couldn't accept the I-601 there and instead it would have to be posted.

Although it seems that you're SUPPOSED to hand it over at the interview, it does appear that some officials (at least this one mentioned in the thread) wouldn't take it.

hi

not anymore, Embassies or Consulates don't process waivers anymore,

waivers are processed in the US, they are sent to a PO BOX here in the US with the hardship letter

Thanks for letting me know. So should I send it there now or is the procedure to first bring it up at the interview, get denied and then get instructions on where to send things?
