DS-230 forms Date of accomplishement

Hi. I'm new here so pls. bear w/ me.

My lawyer advised me to fill up the DS-230 forms last year so that she can just send it ASAP if Fee Bill has been paid for already.

Of course 'till now we have not received anything from NVC.

Would I have to fill-up new DS-230 forms w/ a NEW date? Would the date I gave (Oct. 2006) really matter even though it will be forwarded most prob. sometime this year?

I personally would not want to send something to the NVC that was more than a couple of weeks out of date, just because I would worry that they would wonder what had happened in the meantime, but I've never encountered this, so it's just my opinion.

You could probably wait until your case actually gets to the NVC, then do it with plenty of time. Please fill in your timeline to share with the other members

Thanks. Yeah, it was my lawyer's advise to fill it up in advance but now wants me to do it again and leave the date blank for her to fill-in once it's time. But I noticed that the current DS 230 forms expires on 7/2007 and I'm not 100% sure if the packet 3 they will generate will be the new versions on 7/2007.

I just hate it when I have to do it again and again.
