I've been having issues with my case at NVC. Currently it's been 79 days since I submitted my AOS and IV packages, and nothing has been reviewed yet. The rep I spoke to this morning at 7am sharp voluntarily put me on the line with a supervisor, and I waited maybe seven to ten minutes to speak to her (Mari).

She told me that she was going to contact her management about my case, but that she couldn't promise anything and that I should call back late next week. While I was on the phone with her I heard her typing, and she said she'd sent off an email.

Our case is an EP case, and she told me that there is "no time frame" for EP cases, but that she'd try to see if someone could do her a favor to look at the case. My husband and I are likely going to try to contact our senator today, as I've been told that they deal with federal issues -- not congressmen. After almost eighty days waiting for them to just look at our files I'm so frustrated. The possibility that we could get a checklist after near three months of waiting and then get caught up in the system again makes me feel like there's little hope.

Has anyone else experienced something similar to this? I'd love to hear others stories so I can prepare myself for what's to come. Do you think an email from a supervisor to the "management" is going to help me at all?

I don't get why yours is taking so long, I got a checklist after 33 days, was a wrong checklist but sent it anyway cause I couldn't do the ds260, took 33 days for the checklist to get reviewed still couldn't do the ds260 submitted the ds260 and that was done and got cc 2 weeks after I submitted it and my husbands case is ep .

It seemed like she was giving me a lot of excuses. Because we'd selected EP she said that every file submitted had to be looked at carefully because it had to be perfect for the interview, since they apparently just email it over to wherever your interview will be instead of mail it. She said that because some countries are forced to use EP that there is a huge backlog so there is no time frame. She told me that every rep I'd spoken to who quoted me a 42 day wait was incorrect because there is no time frame for EP, because a supervisor can't look at EP files because their system isn't set up for EP (what?).

We submitted our DS-260, DS-261 before CEAC went down without issue, so it's not like they're waiting for our fees or our accompanying files.

Now I'm wondering if I should try to call back on Monday at the same time to try to speak to another supervisor. If there's no time frame for EP that's fine, but eighty days (or ninety days, like the poster before me) seems to be really, really off to me. Today is our 44 day in supervisor review.

Maybe I should ask for Sylvia. Seems like other people had success when speaking to her. :) If I end up speaking to another supervisor I'll update everyone with

A) how I got through to speak to a supervisor and;

B) if the story I get changes

I checked CEAC website and saw 3 N/A while there was 2 n/a before for long time..

What do you mean by 3 N/A and 2 N/A? Every time I go to the ceac site, all it says is At NVC. AM I CHECKING THE WRONG LINK?

Posted

go here to track your visa application status. (ceac.state.gov)

Okay, yes I check this site constantly. Right now, when I enter the case number all it says is At NVC. It is suppose to say ready, right? Or maybe it takes a few weeks to say that.

Sadly, and with all of the drama that I have had with NVC, I am terrified of touching anything than checking my visa status on the ceac site. I am afraid that by touching anything, I will set myself back somehow, lol. I am completely traumatized by NVC.

I go to https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/

Then I click on DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application ,. I enter my info and see the 3 N/A's. See image.
