I was suprised to find in the mail today the I30 Approval! The notice date was Feb. 12, 2007, the last touch on the case online was Feb. 13, 2007 and the online status then and now is "case recieved and pending". What is the process now if I-129F is pending and the I-130 is approved?? anyone else in the same situation?

I haven't experienced it, but from what I've read I believe you can follow the I-130 and abandon the K3. However, if your K3 is approved soon, it will probably still take less time than the CR-1/IR-1.

US Immigration Timeline

24 Feb 2007 - Sent I-130 to London USCIS office (I'm the petitioner)

25 May 2007 - NOA2

2 June 2007 - Received Packet 3

12 Oct 2007 - Sent Packet 3 back by special delivery

5 Nov 2007 - Interview in London - Approved without any hitches!

7 Nov 2007 - Visa and MBE arrived by SMS! :)

30 Jan 2008 - Fly to Michigan!! :)

*Note: Any delays in our case are only due to us taking things slowly

I've experienced it :)

I continued working on both, but my I129F wasn't approved until 6 weeks later and is still lagging way behind, so as of today I think we're abandoning any efforts on it.

Congrats on the approval, definitely read up on the NVC Timesavers thread in the NVC forum, as well as the NVC flowchart in the guides.

Finally, it's possible that both petitions were approved at the same time and you just haven't received the second notice... does your I130 NOA2 say your petition will be forwarded to the NVC or retained by USCIS? If it says it's been forwarded, then it should be.

Hello,

The approval notice states that the original petition has been sent to the Department of State National Visa center. Thanks for your wishes and the advice to read about the NVC Timesavers. I am on it now...!

Congrats on the approval! :thumbs:

Chances are your I-130 and I-129F will be approved on or about the same time. That's how it's been for most of us with I-129F & I-130's in process. I got the Email from CRIS stating my I-129F was approved and when I checked the online status it was 'Approved'. My I-130 status never changed and I never received any Email about it. A short while later I received both NOA2's. My I-130 online status still says it's 'Pending' but the NOA2 at my house states different. :P We're going the K-3 route so I'm not too worried about the I-130 right now.

Married on 11/21/06 in her hometown city Tumauini located in the Isabela province (Republic of the Philippines)

Congratulations! In some countries in doesn't take that long to get a CR-1 interview, but in Mexico it can take 10-12 months!!! That's why we're pursuing the K-3 because it should only take 2-3 months to get an interview.

Got an e-mail notice today from CRIS stating that our I-130 has been approved :yes:..yeheyy!! after 120 days with NO touches whatsoever..we're hoping to have an approval for our I-129F soon too :whistle:

We just got approved too but both I30 and I-129F so I am not sure what went wrong with your application.. by the way did you send your spouse copy of birth certificate and passport copy and your marriage contract to the immigration?
