Congratulations! I don't understand why J1 is such a pain. It has been 2 months since our interview and I have not heard a thing yet.... this is getting very worrisome for me.

N-400 Naturalization acpplication

 

 

9/9/2018: 90 day window early application opened. (3 year rule)

9/9/2018: N-400 Application submitted ONLINE. Estimated case completion: November 2019 (14 months).

9/10/2018: NOA

9/15/2018:Scheduled for Biometrics appointment. Scheduled for 10/1/2018

10/1/2018: Biometrics completed. 

4/11/2019: Scheduled for Interview.

5/20/2019: Interview day, APPROVED!

5/30/2019: Oath Ceremony. Officially a US citizen! Time to Vote :D

7/22/2015: Mailed I-130, I-485, I-131, I-765

7/28/2015: Received electronic notification that USCIS has received my case and they are forwarding it to national benefits center.

8/1/2015: Received Hard copy of NOA of all 4 forms by mail.

8/20/2015: Biometrics completed.

8/31/2015: Case updated to Interview scheduled for 10/1/2015

Lawyer filed a Status Inquiry on his side, then emailed back that USCIS has everything they need on file, but are currently still processing May/ June files and it may take another 1-2 months before processing my application. Not sure how usual it is for this to happen two months after interview. He thinks they will process the I-131 and I-485 together.

Has anyone not had their interview scheduled? My priority date is July 30th so I thought I'd check with July filers even though I was told to go to the August thread...

My local offices average wait time is 118 days between biometrics and interview so it "should've" been scheduled for December 7th since biometrics was August 26th, so maybe I am looking to be scheduled soon? Fingers crossed ? Good luck everyone!

This morning the i-485 case updated to "New Card is being produced"!!!! I hope that means they are producing my green card. The I-130 still did not have any updates and it does not say it was approved. But obviously I am ecstatic!

Looking into it though, it looks like they received an inquiry on the status updates and that triggered them looking into the case and producing the card. So don't underestimate Info passess and service inquiries!

First - thanks for all congratulations! :)

Second, so good to see several positive developments in our group. I think the process seems to have moved fairly smoothly for a lot of us in different locations, which should give hope to those still waiting.

Those of us who'll have to remove conditions will very likely reconnect in 21 months. :) Best of luck with life until then!

I-130 and I-485 status changed to "Case was approved"! I believe my green card journey is over. It should be an unconditional 10 year GC since we have been married for more than two years at the time of the interview. Ill keep checking here and will update when I receive my Green Card. Next step, naturalization in 3 years! I would love to participate in the elections of this amazing country and vote for president in 2020!

The feeling of being free from the headache of visas is amazing.

Confgradulations to everyone who got to the GC finish line. No news for me yet, interview has not being scheduled, do not mind waiting as long it will not take too long :)
