Really need help, urgent! (Packet 3)

I've retained a lawyer to help us with the K1.. on 6/29, he emailed me saying he sent in Packet 3 to my consulate, he didn't give me any tracking number or any information, I just trusted his word. He told me to wait a few days and we'll be notified by the Consulate on an interview date. (Us Embassy in Thailand schedules the interview date for us, we can't choose)

On 7/3,.. I decided to email USTravelDocs for a general inquiry, I wanted to know when they updated their website to show the confirmed interviews for the month of July.

I received an automated email from them saying they received my email at 7:42.

At 7:42, I also received another email from USTravelDocs, it said the following:

Dear New Portal User:

Your US Travel Documents Customer Portal username and password information is below.

To access the online system, enter your username and password into the log-in page. Be sure to enter the two CAPTCHA words exactly as they appear on the screen to validate your information.

I logged in with the temporary password they gave me, and I changed my password and logged in. I'm guessing this is the website where we pay for the Visa.

My question is: Why would I get this email? and shouldn't I have a profile created already by my lawyer?

I asked my lawyer what this website was, I also gave him the new password so he can access it, he says this is the website we need to register in order for US Embassy to send the passport by mail. Is this correct?

I believe this is the website for registering to pay for your visa. When you get to the last screen, you will print a document you need to take to the bank to pay the $265 Visa fee. The bank will give you a receipt and that receipt number needs to be typed into one of the screens on this web site. Once you type in the receipt number, you can print a confirmation of payment. We included the confirmation of payment in our packet 3 documents. If you already submitted packet 3 documents you should take the printout confirmation to your interview.

CONFIRMATION PRINTOUT OF GLOBAL SUPPORT STRATEGY (GSS) REGISTRATION: Each applicant must create his/her own profile and register his/her mailing address with the GSS system at www.ustraveldocs.com/th. Be sure to print out the CGI Pay Instruction Sheet and Bay Bank Deposit Slip from your profile as you will need both documents to make fee payment.

Thanks for the reply. You think my lawyer did that on purpose? That he sent in packet 3 without paying ? Is there any other way for him to pay the visa and get confirmation without registering ?

You should ask your lawyer if he paid the Visa fee.
