Good morning all,

I have a couple (few?) questions about Police Clearance Certificates. Do they need to be submitted with the initial IV PACKAGE that will be mailed to the NVC OR is it acceptable to present them at the interview?

I've read a few disucssions here and haven't really seen a definitive answer so if anyone is SURE of what needs to be done I'd greatly appreciate the information.

Also, I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with certificates from Malawi and South Africa? South Africa seems straightforward but time consuming and Malawi is ridiculously high, $300, so I'm wondering if this is a legitimate cost. I was told by the Embassy in Malawi that I need to find someone to bring CASH to the embassy and the cert would be issued. Smh...

So, I know it is going to be a process to get these certificates and just wondering if NVC will proceed with our case and we can present them at the interview.

I asked the first question a few wks ago and the response I got was a copy needs to be sent to NVC (with IV package) and the original presented at the interview.

Someone suggested just getting 2 copies and sending an original to the NVC just to avoid any possible issues.
