Hello everyone

I filed on july 21 2015 the i 130 still wsiting for approval !

Anyone with same lenght please let me know

July filer here. I called them multiple times a week for the past month, sure they are probably sick of me calling. My last call to them last week speaking to a tier 2 rep, they finally told me an RFE is on the way and follow the instructions on it. Finally someone is looking at my case. Hate the waiting period. Just try to call them 2-3 times a week and ask to speak to a tier 2 rep and say your case is outside of the processing time. Sometimes it helps sometimes it doesn't, good luck.

Still absolutely nothing new on my case.

PD July 6th, 2015

xfer to Potomac 10/15/2015

RFE documents received at potomac center 12/29

spoke to tier 2 too many times to count at this point.

Yesterday they said "we show that we received your RFE documents and your case is in process but we can't give you a time when it will be completed."

seriously, wth does that even mean? It means "we have all your stuff but we don't go in any kind of order so yours is going to sit on someone's desk until they dig it out. You and your kids and husband will just have to sit and suffer."

Seriously, my kids are not doing so well. They both now are being withdrawn and sad. Our daughter is often in tears because she wants her Daddy. All I can say to her is "someday honey, someday..."

Hello again everyone!

Just a quick update... For those of you who don't recall (since my activity on here is so sparse)... My husband and I married overseas in March 2015.

We filed In July

We were originally at Nebraska

Transferred to Potomac

NOA2 from Potomac - approved

NVC in Jan

Sent our AOS package Feb 20

NVC received package on Feb 23

Waiting on them to review the package still...

Has anyone received a Case Completed notification?

Or has anyone gotten an interview scheduled?

He'll be interviewing in Jamaica and it seems like the timeline for others that I've seen are sort of like this:

Package received at NVC to case completed = 30/45 day

Case completed to scheduling an interview = 30 day avg.

Scheduled interview to actual interview day = 60 day avg for Jamaica)

Any updates would be appreciated!!

Prayers for everyone!!!

Hello,

I'm applying for my parents (I-130).. I strated filing on October 2015, the case transferred to Potomac on December 2, 2015. How long will it stay in Potomac before it gets approved (or declined, who knows) ??

Thanks

Hi everyone, I'm just wondering if it's normal that NSC sends a letter to say due to the overwhelming cases, it'll take 30 days to review one's case. I just got that and I'm hoping it'll be shorter than a month. They said if there's no issues, they'll appoint an interview date. Anyone received this letter and got appointed an interview date earlier than a month nevertheless?

Thanks for replying! :)

i'm confused. Are you waiting for NVC to review your AOS and IV packages or did you get case complete with that already and you're waiting for an interview? once your case is complete, you don't automatically get scheduled for an interview; unless your case was completed right around the time that the overseas consulates start to schedule interview. That's usually around the end of the month.

you should also join the March NVC thread. there is a lot of good information and discussion that takes place on there. Here's the link starting from page one of that thread. The very first post by dwheels76 has the link to the entire NVC process: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/587555-nvc-filers-march-2016/page-1

Hi LinJoe,

sorry for the confusion. I meant the NVC. Arghhh. (sleep deprieved!)

This is an extract of the notice from NVC:

"The NVC will notify you after our review if there is additional information required or if we are able to schedule your case for an interview overseas."

I'm just wondering how long they usually take to review packages.

Also, I think I'm waiting for them to review my packages. I say think because I feel a little left in the dark because our lawyer is handling our case and she's in the US, and sometimes I feel like I'm bugging her unnecessarily >.< Reading the email again, I'm guessing we're waiting for them to review our packages first. My lawyer mentioned something along the lines of waiting for them to request a statement from the police once this is complete.

Sorry for the initial confusion and I'll check out the link you gave, LinJoe!! And thank you again! :)

It takes 30-45 days (calendar days) to review your package. Lately, it seems to be around 30-33 days.

Good luck!
