You will have your case and IV number soon. Yes you are correct about the 45 days. It started out at 30 then 40 and now NVC is saying 45 days to CC from scan date. I am hoping to send out our packets Monday....fingers crossed.

Start gathering all your paper work now so you will be ready when the time comes. Actually it's not a lot of paperwork that goes into the AOS and IV packet. Just double and triple check everything before you send it in. I have done that a few times already. When you get your welcome packet from NVC you will see a checklist in there. Use that as a guide to make sure you have everything.

I actually already have everything for the AOS package and my husband has everything for the IV package. :) I just need to make copies of my last 3 years W2 forms.

I started reading the Dept of State website from the moment i submitted my I-130 petition. i sent the list to my husband back in August and he has been working on gathering his documents. he's going to send me photocopies of all his documents early next week. when it's time to submit everything, i'm ready! yes, i'll make sure to triple and quadruple check everything before i submit the packages.

You will have your case number soon.

It seems like everything goes fast at NVC. We have been there 1 month already and it doesn't seem like it. I need my husbands police report then we can file our AOS and IV packets. Everything is a process with the petition.

Oh okay. My documents are almost ready for the package. I'm waiting for the case number now. I will be going to india in two weeks, hopefully by then I will have my case number. I pray we don't have to wait longer now. Once you send the packages it's only 45 days to complete the case. Those 45 days can go quicker as we will know we are almost close to the interview. Good luck to us.

Hi....Is your consulate really Armenia? just asking because it shows you're India member and you mentioned going to India, but your consulate is showing as Armenia. The site did that to me when I first did my timeline and I kept having to go in and save it as Mumbai.

I really hope my petition reaches NVC soon and I get my case and IIN numbers quickly because I'm ready to submit everything on my end too. Then those 45 days......much better than almost 6 months like at NSC. Then I'll be praying that Mumbai has an immediate interview time slot. I hope we don't have to wait another 2-3 months just for an interview. there is a lot of waiting in this whole process. one day, we'll all look back and wonder how we made it through.

Its just the site. I have saved again. It should be showing Delhi now. My spouse is from Punjab so it's Delhi for us. I agree I hope we don't have to wait longer now. Since I was at potomac I was so clueless. Thank god I finally made it to nvc even though it took us over a month to get to nvc after approval. But glad I don't have to deal with uscis anymore. Most likely we will require similar paperwork. My husband is sending me police clearnce and passport clearnce. It should be here anytime soon now. Stay connected. Wish us quick process at nvc.

I blame the holidays for the delay in NVC being backed up now. Hoping they will get caught up and back up to speed quickly....especially when they get to ours. :) I called USCIS yesterday to find out if my petition was sent to NVC yet, only because the NOA2 letter said it had, but I don't believe it. the lady didn't answer my question. she only said NVC needs up to 90 days to receive the petition. I was shocked by that. wait months and months for an approval and then another 3 months for NVC to even receive it??? I am really praying that isn't true. I'm going to start calling NVC next week (day 15 after approval) to see if they received my petition. I haven't gotten a text or email notification that it's been sent though, so that's a bummer.

So I called today for a "random check" to see if NVC received my case and the very sweet lady warned that there's a backlog at NVC. She also informed me that NVC would receive my case within 35-40 days from approval date and another 45 days for CC but did suggest to call next week. To your point, she also said that USCIS can take up to 90 days to send cases. I called USCIS and she confirmed the same thing but she wouldn't tell me if our case was sent or not. I didn't push either. I think I can handle the 2-3 months wait time. But I definitely feel with you being here and your spouse being in India. Mine is north of the border.

Keep me posted if you call NVC :)

So many are waiting 45 days. NVC told many that they are experiencing a high volume of cases so it will be 45 days. Hopefully that will change and you will not have to wait the entire 45 days.
