Hi Kiran. How did you find out? Also, how did you find when your case left Potomac? Did you call or waited for some sort of communication?

Hi, I just called nvc and she said my case my received today. I waited for a month then I called uscis last week Friday and spoke to tier 2 officer who tracked my case and I was told that my case was shipped from Potomac to NVC on Jan 8th. So I think those who were approved in November, December, and maybe before January 8th were send together to nvc. Good luck. Hopefully your case will be sent to nvc soon. Hang in there.

Thanks. Now that we got our approval (6 months later), I'm not planning on calling NVC before the 30-day mark. I'm trying to understand and gather how different people are receiving their info so I have an idea what to expect. It kinda sucks that we're getting 0 emails, texts or updates online although being signed up to all. Best of luck to you :)

I wonder if the holidays had a lot to do with why they are so far behind. hopefully, USCIS won't wait the full 30 days to send approved petitions to NVC now that the holidays are over. i'm really praying this phase will go quicker than the USCIS phase.

I got my hard copy NOA2 in the mail on Saturday, 1/16. i'm planning on calling NVC starting end of next week to see if they received it. to your point, not everyone is getting test/emails with every update. who knows....since ours got approved after the holidays, they may not wait 30 days to send ours to NVC. I've heard they are trying to get caught up. I don't want to wait 30 days to find out they received it and put a case number on it and I lost 3 days because I wasn't calling and checking....granted that's a best case scenario.

Maybe it can be delayed because of the holidays. But nebraska is faster when it comes to sending cases to nvc. Good luck to us.

Once your case is at NVC it takes anywhere from 14-20 days to get a case number. I started calling at the 14 day mark. I got my case number and IV number on the 15th day. This stage of the process is much faster! Once you get your scan date (the date they receive your AOS & IV packets) its a 30-45 day wait for CC (Case Complete).

Very happy so many of July filers are on the NVC side now!!

I know I think potomac is working very slow since it's a new center. I'm glad that nvc finally received it. Hopefully it goes faster now. Let's see how long will it take to get the case number now...

You will have your case number soon.

It seems like everything goes fast at NVC. We have been there 1 month already and it doesn't seem like it. I need my husbands police report then we can file our AOS and IV packets. Everything is a process with the petition.

I hope so!!! Reading the NVC forum, it seems 45 days is what's needed to get a CC from when they scan the AOS and IV package. I want my case & IIN numbers so I can at least get my stuff done. I'm hoping the the backup was just from the Christmas and New Year's holidays and they are able to get caught up and get things moving again.

You will have your case and IV number soon. Yes you are correct about the 45 days. It started out at 30 then 40 and now NVC is saying 45 days to CC from scan date. I am hoping to send out our packets Monday....fingers crossed.

Start gathering all your paper work now so you will be ready when the time comes. Actually it's not a lot of paperwork that goes into the AOS and IV packet. Just double and triple check everything before you send it in. I have done that a few times already. When you get your welcome packet from NVC you will see a checklist in there. Use that as a guide to make sure you have everything.
