Hello Again Everyone!

Another update from The Coombs.

We received our APPROVAL in the mail yesterday!!!!

07.11.15 - Filed

07.17.15 - NOA1

10.16.15 - Notice of Transfer from NSC to PSC

12.02.15 - Notice Local office has received

(12.03.15) - Approval date

12.09.15 - Approval letter in the mail (when we actually found out)

Note: I checked the website a few days before and it didn't say anything about an approval.

Even today I checked it and it still states "Case Received at Local Office" as I'm holding an approval letter.

Our approval letter states Notice Date: December 3, 2015 which is a day after we received the local office letter but we didn't know of approval until letter arrived at my home a week later.

I'm praying this gives each of you a sense of ease knowing that they are working on our petitions!

Hang in there everyone!!! Potomac is picking up the pace.

May God continue to bless us all in our journey!!!

STAY POSITIVE AND PRAYING!

congratulations on your approval

I have one question when you received your letter stating that the case was in local office did it mention the name of the local office

Woohoo congrats. Yeah Yeah!! I am so happy for you. I am still waiting for mine to be approve from Potomac. Anyway, I just received my Ghana's visa today. I am going to Ghana Januaray 1, to spend a month with my wife. My PD is July 17 and am still waiting. By way, thank you for always encouraging us on this timeline. Stay bless and One Love!!!! :joy::joy::joy:

You will have your approval any day now. You are so lucky to go visit for a month!!! I was in Ghana for two weeks in October. I can't wait to go back. Did you get the multiple entry Ghana visa? I have a 5 year visa but now that my name has changed I have to apply for a new one. The one in my passport now is non-transferable. Just another step in the process :) . Stay blessed and have a wonderful holiday.

Thank you LoveinGhana. I pray we get approval today. Yes, I have single entry Ghana visa. I can't wait to go back. I was wishing to be with her this Christmas, but work wouldn't let me go this December. I am glad they finally allow me to go. Stay blessed as well.

Finally-the wait for the first part is over!

I checked online today and saw that our I-130 application was APPROVED from the Texas Service Center on December 8.. It was accepted on July 27, so the approval came in at just under 5 months.

Now on to the next step at NVC. Fingers crossed that things move smoothly from here!!

Good luck to all those still waiting for approval.

How long is the wait before you can get the info you need to pay that $88. Basically from my understanding this is what happens after the approval letter. From reading other people's post online, they have called the NVC to get their invoice number. Do I need to actually wait for a letter from the NVC? or should I call? I was gone for a week, came home and found the approval letter. I'm just trying to get a better idea of the wait and how the next steps works. I have not recieved any communication from NVC, should I wait for that before calling? This whole process is just something else. Jesus help us all!

Yes you will need to call to get your case number and IIV#. That normally takes 1-2 weeks I believe. I just got approved so I will wait a week or so before I call and see if they have received my case. Good luck on your process
