I cannot wait to start reading some approvals in here. I know that we just started, but I need a little Hope booster to keep me going. Who is joining me????

I will absolutley join in on this celebration!!! :) I check this forum everyday to hear some positive news.

If any of you had trouble signing up for the "MyUSCIS" account to check on your case status using your receipt number, the site seems to be functioning a little better now. A few of us were able to make it work, who were having trouble for a more than a week.

Of course it's just one more way to not get any news :P but I was able to request email and text message updates (we had only set up notifications for my USC husband with the petition package).

There's a possibility that things will speed up. Things seem to be frequently changing. There's always a possibility of a shift in priorities at the processing centers.

The timelines are based on the averages of previous cases if I understand it. So even a slight decrease in the average could mean a considerable reduction in processing time currently , couldn't it?

Married in Barbados: June 10 2015

***USCIS***

Jul 20 2015: Lawyer Mailed I-130 Packet to Chicago lockbox

Aug 7 2015: I-130 NOA1 (California!!!)

Nov 17 2015: I-130 approved (102 days since NOA1)

***NVC***

Nov 25 2015: NVC received our file

Dec 11 2015: NVC case # assigned

Dec 14 2015: AOS & IV billed (same time as we have lawyer)

Dec 14 2015: Received email with case number and invoice number

Dec 15 2015: Paid AOS & IV Fees

Dec 20 2015: Fees show as "paid".

Dec 20 2015: Email expedite request (financial & medical)

Dec 31 2015: Email from NVC. EXPEDITE APPROVED!

Visa process 2015

I-130 sent: July 14th (delivered July 17th by DHL)

Checks Cashed: July 22nd

NOA1 received: August 5th via mail - California Service Center

NOA2 received: August 18th via email

NVC Received Package: September 4th.

Got NVC Case Number over the Phone: September 21st.

Paid AoS Bill / Send DS261: September 21st.

Paid IV Bill: October 23rd.

Submitted DS-260: October 30th.

Sent AoS and IV Packages: November 10th.

Received Checklist: December 3rd.

New Scan Date: December 4th.

Case Complete: December 31 (they said the cases were completed since Dec. 17th but something was missing in one of them)

Medical Examination: February 2nd.

Interview Date: February 29th

Pumpita, did you submit the G-1145 to get email and/or text notification?

ETA: it took us ten days from the NOA1 email date to receive the snail mail in Canada, so I imagine it may take longer to get to Argentina.
