Still nothing. I have to put in the change of address at the post office tomorrow. If it's not here by then I have to wait for it to be forwarded *cries*.

Is there any contact information for the Potomac center on the letters everyone else has received?

Not only is there no contact information, but I called the USCIS to ask about it and they weren't even aware the Potomac center exists. My record in their computer shows my I-130 was transferred to Nebraska, which makes no sense because that is where it was before. Also, they obviously weren't able to tell me anything about processing times at Potomac since they didn't even know it existed. So we're basically completely in the dark here. Really hoping this will keep us in the 5-month window but who knows.

My case has not been transferred. I am still at Nebraska....almost at 4 months and praying for approval soon.

Was your case transferred?

I haven't been transferred from nsc either. I was wondering if it was a state thing, but I saw someone earlier in this thread say they were from Texas as well and got transferred to the new center. I wonder why this is? I also filed for the I129f because when I originally sent in my I130 the waiting time was 2 years...maybe that has something to do with it? Whatever the case I hope by next month they're caught up and Ill receive my approval in December like I was supposed too before nsc got behind.

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering what this means and what I should do. Visa processing honestly sounds intimidating now.

Case Was Sent To The Department of State

On October 14, 2015, we sent your case to the Department of State for visa processing. Please visit our website for general information on Consular Processing.

Is there anything we should do or should we just sit tight and wait?

My theory is they transferred the stand alone I-130 petitions. Once I received my NOA1 for the I-130, I followed up with the I-129F as well and mine is not transferred. From what I've read, when CSC was opened, they transferred the stand alone petitions to help the other service centers with their backlog.

Hopefully, this means those of us that didn't get transferred will hear something soon.

On October 14, 2015, we sent your case to the Department of State for visa processing. Please visit our website for general information on Consular Processing.

Is there anything we should do or should we just sit tight and wait?

Your case has been approved and sent to the National Visa Center. Congratulations! it'll take at LEAST 2 weeks possibly up to 30 days for NVC to receive your case and then possibly another 2 weeks to assign a case number and IIN. If you haven't started already, start gathering the financial documents and other supporting documents they will request from you. If you have it ready for submission it won't delay your case. Don't wait until they request it to start gathering it.
