@krissyb93...well there is no guarantee that you will receive a RFE. Consider no news as good news and until you are notified, they have everything that they need, I would say relax your mind. "Therefore what God has joined together, let man separate." And in the event that you do receive and RFE, you can provide phone records (which I included), copies of text message (I also included), tango/Skype logs, any money transfers (which I included), passports stamps (also included), hotel stays (also included), cards sent to each other (remember to keep the envelope with postmark date). Trust me, you will find additional documentation; even the ones after the exchange of vows. But again...don't stress yourself over the unknown, you will surely drive yourself insane. And I would say that you may have included something that was misplaced..remember those who handle this documentation are human and things can be misplaced (unfortunate but it happens)..and always keep your mind on the positive! Anything asked for is always to ensure the protection of YOU (warranted or not)!

Wow you sent in alot of stuff! I have plenty of conversation logs, and Skype logs from before we met. All I really have of our relationship now since we've been apart though are Skype logs (we talk everyday). We message constantly on kik but with kik the conversation deletes itself and there's no way of saving it. I only worry because my husband is from a high fraud country and we've only been married since march, but you're right I do need to stop worrying so much haha. As of right now everything is ok! What filing center was your petition sent too?

March 11th 2015: We got married! (L)

July 15th 2015: I-130 petition sent to Chicago filing center

July 17th 2015: NOA1, petition forwarded to Nebraska

January 5th 2016: Petition approved!

January 14 2016: NOA2 hardcopy received

February 2nd 2016 : received NVC welcome letter along with case and invoice number

May 11, 2016: DS-261 completed and AOS fee paid

May 19th 2016: Immigrant visa fee paid

July 6th 2016: DS-260 completed

July 8th 2016: Our AOS package was received

Howdy there July Filers!

@Krissyb93 it seems like you're all good! My husband didn't send in pics, just 2 affidavit of support for the evidence of bonafide marriage. I really wish that i knew more about VJ before Preparation and Filing :( I don't really dread getting a RFE like only if it was a simple "to get" one... if it were something we don't have then i would prolly faint! lol  jk

I really do wanna wish ALL of you guys speedy approvals. This wait is without a doubt frustrating but WE WILL ALL GET THERE!

I received an RFE from my application in July, that I filled from overseas. I received an RFE on Aug 20th, which I wasn't able to reply to until September 19th due to being away from home. On September 19th I sent my reply to the USCIS using registered mail, however, it has been stuck at the "ISC NEW YORK NY(USPS)" since September 23rd. According to some other online sources, mail can be stuck at the ISC New York for weeks / months. I'm thinking if nothing happens in the next couple days, I will just Fedex another reply to the RFE. Problem is that the original RFE coversheets are in the registered mail, I would be sending copies in the Fedex. Also, the USCIS would get two replies from me, as I'm sure eventually the letter sent by registered mail will show up. Would a coversheet in the Fedex package explaining the situation be sufficient? Or would receiving two replies to an RFE really screw things up?

If anyone is intereted, I recieved an RFE for not sending copies of some documents in their original language, I only sent the translations. Following directions is important.

Hello

I applied in July. My case was received on July 10th. Money order was cached and I received a notification about my case being received back in July. It is now October and I have not heard anything. What Should I do? Any advice? How much longer do I have to wait?

@krissyb..."should" you get an RFE, your logs of conversation prior to the marriage matter as they show the progression of the relationship (so I've read here on VJ). What I didn't send are affidavits from family and/or friends but have them lined up to receive this week. The only thing that I could possibly think of are the "copies" of birth and marriage certificates..they weren't originals but copies of the originals but I am speculating. While I'm waiting on receipt of the notification, I am gathering additional evidence such as snahpshots of well wishes from family, friends and coworkers added to our wedding video site. Communication logs between myself and my mother-n-law and a few other things. I'm really not too concerned about it because when I say if they ask me for the moon, I'm going to give them the moon and the universe (if I have too) and stay ahead of the game as much as possible.

What I've done while waiting, is researched the NVC process, downloaded the AoS and the instructions, completed it and gathered all the necessary documentation for that (paystubs, requesting IRS transcripts, etc.). Researched possible interview questions and I've complied a binder that has copies of eveything thing, organized, sectioned it of with labels. Made several copies of things, one for myself to maintain, one in the event of RFE and one to stay within the binder to be forwarded to my spouse once we get to a certain phase so that he can have for the interview. I've downloaded the required medical forms and completed them, spoke with him about the questions on it to ensure accuracy, so when he gets the binder, he goes to the medical tab..pulls out the form...signs and date it..puts it back in the document protector and takes the binder with to the medical appointment..All that so he can just slip the form out, hand it to them and have anything else they might ask for..same for the interview section of the binder.

Again, you can't stress over the unknown and as I have been advised by several VJers, make use of the time waiting and occupy yourself with something fun.

You (we) will be fine and the time will past quickly!
