We've checked USCIS case status page and we are approved (Nebraska). NOA1 is July 30. Case was approved August 31. ☺️

We haven't received any email from USCIS yet. How long does it take for them to email?

Congrats.... Got the email then saw it on the status page.

My husband (petitioner, email listed on the G-1145 that we submitted with the I-130) did get the email about the NOA1, but did not get an email about the NOA2. I had signed up on USCIS.gov for the MyUSCIS account, and requested email notification to my email address there. I received the NOA2 email at about the same time the status changed on USCIS.gov.

We sent an expedite request on 8/20/15 and today we received a letter from our field office acknowledging the request. They said that our application is currently in review. Also, they said that an interview was scheduled for 9/24/15 and that if we do not receive the notice with 14 days of this letter, we need to con the NBC. Anyone can help me understand why, because my wife and I been married for the last ten. Can you also help us anticipate what to expect in that interview?

OMG Donboudha you have an interview date! that's awesome! I think everyone has to go for an interview, don't they?

It's normal i guess.

I had exactly similar situation. I signed up for text/email notification but when my case was approved i got nothing like for the NOA 1.

Wait for 7 more days you will get NOA 2 .

I got mine on 9th day after the approval notice in USCIS website and later my case was sent to Department of State.

I'm actually quite worried that they might change the case status anytime so I took a screenshot of the approval page. yay. Now, we will just wait for the hardcopy of the NOA2. Thank you so much for the reassurance.

Congratulations on your approval too. We were thinking of 5 months before the approval but Nebraska rocks. It only took 31 days.

We already did, but it was after we saw "case was approved" in the USCIS case status page. I guess it's too late. We should have signed in after we received the case number. We sent G-1145 form together with I-130 packet and we received email notification for the NOA1.

I realized the interview is about the expedite request...I have read on here of someone going to an interview to discuss the expedite request and show documentation/proof of whatever it was that you are requesting the expedite for. So I guess bring backup of your reasons?

Hi There,

I've been having some issues with calling NVC and getting in touch with the right department - this has happened 3 times now. I am at the stage where I have filled out the DS 261, paid the AOS fee, and am waiting for the DS 260 to be available to me along with the IV invoice.

- I call 603-334-0700

- I press 1 for English (the only other option is 2 for Spanish, if I don't press anything, I get disconnected)

- I press 1 to speak to customer rep (no other option, if I don't press anything, I get disconnected)

- When I get connected to a rep after ~25-30 minutes, they take my NVC case number, check on their side, and say that I've pressed a wrong button, because they are only handling cases where the interview has already been scheduled/taken place, and that they will connect me to the right department. When they do that, I either get disconnected, or I come back to the same department again.

Anyone else facing this? Any pointers on what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks

Not sure if anyone knows that the NVC Phone Directory has changed as of September 2nd (the date when I called for case number)
