Thanks everyone!! I hope for the best for all of you, too :)

I actually got two emails, one minute apart, for the NOA2. No text (don't know if that's because my mobile number is Canadian?). It's funny because I was just about to check status and I saw I had email so I looked there first. I'm not sure if my husband (petitioner) got email this time though (and he's on a call right now so I can't ask him).

We didnt get any emails or txt msgs either i just check our status fr uscis site and it says approved. Was also wondering when are they sending it to nvc, is there anyway to check?

Wow firstly congrats to those who've received their NOA2.

Any idea if anyone from TSC got their NOA2 :( applied first week of July and still waiting for NOA2! So damn annoyed that it got send to darn Texas...aaahhh.

We are at NSC and it is a slow process. Hang in there who knows what can happen. Some get approved in a few months while others wait around 5.

Apparently you can call USCIS to check when they actually sent it, but I'd wait a few days.

Then you can call NVC starting maybe a week from NOA2 (or from when you hear from USCIS on the phone that they sent it, which could be some days from NOA2 date) to see if they received it; and you can keep calling them until they scan your package and assign you your NVC/Dept of State number and the invoice number etc that lets you move on to next steps.

Kind of feels like there's a black hole or limbo between USCIS and NVC though, but it should only be a week or two.

Disclaimer: this is my impression from reading on this site and government sites and I might be wrong :)

Ill give it till friday and will ask my husband to call uscis for follow up. Lol i feel like im being too pushy but what can we do once u started it feel like u cant hold back anymore! Thank you!

Give it a couple of days after it shows sent. Then call NVC. You will get the 30 day script. But I still called every other day. I happened to call Monday evening and they said it was scanned that day, they said two weeks for case number. I called this morning when they open actually 658 EST (5 min on hold) and case number and IIN was available.

I didn't get any email ... and even the USCIS website doesn't says the NOA 2 was mailed ... It just says my case was approved and they will mail me...

I don't trust this USCIS website that much..... Won't be satisfied till i get the actual hard copy letter....

Does any one know how long will it take to get visa number from NVC after the approval of case ?

Mine from Texas and sent on second week of July. I'm still waiting for the approval. It is frustrating but I'm still positive..

Congratulations to all of you guys who got an approval. I hope ours too!

NOA1 was July 29th and I just received an email (Aug. 28th) that our case was approved and that they will send an approval notice through the mail.

Can someone please confirm that this is the NOA2 as this was much sooner that we expected. As an FYI, Nebraska Service Center was handling our case.

What would be our immediate next steps?

Congrats, you should see an update and/or email when it is sent to NVC. I gave it a few days after it was sent then started calling every other day to see if they received. Then to get the case number and IIN. Good luck..
