yay!! since their running the way they used to I should be getting my interview letter for January! yay congrats everyone . we made it through! lol

No new on my end. just wish that some will apply more detail to there Time Lines for other can get a better view on given other a feel on how long the wait will be. and Congra's to those of you received IVD's..

Wow, One IVD a month that moving fast as I suspected.. and that's only on VJ. mind you many of the IVD's dates are not member of VJ.

so that could one of the reason why it's taken along time to get IVD's to the ones who are waiting. but that's just my 2 Cents..

well this is just based on vj as before they used to set interviews a month in advance and they stopped for some 6 months and now their back on schedule. yes 1 from vj a month but if you look at the months they got their cc its correct in which they are doing it. maybe its 1 from vj but 500000 from all over the world who knows but we can only go off the 1 we have on vj.. so people that got their cc in may got November interviews even if it was just one and people from may got December which I believe was 2 or 3. but we can only go off of what we have so my cc in june and if I get a interview letter next month for a January interview then its correct their going back to their system as before.

Got approved last week & was told to pick up visa this week. Still nothing heard. How long it takes to get visa in hand?? I'm lost in the middle of ocean!

Actually the case was updated 3 times since interview. Last update was on 11/22. Embassy will be closed tomorrow for Thanksgiving, Friday they work half day as stated on their website. So ,this week has gone without anything good. What's the trend there? Why taking so long?

Congratulations that you got approved. As it is a holiday season, they may adjust their working hours. As a result, it may affect the "normal" processing time. You are almost there . . . Hang in there . . .

It's a week since interview was conducted. Everything went smooth. Now waiting game again.

Anyone knows how long it takes from interview to visa issuance? What happened to those folks interviewed on Nov 12 & 16?

It was the simplest interview of the day as honey described. Appointment was 9:15 but managed to enter building at 7:40. Appointment time doesn't work here. First come first served rule. The waiting room was full of peoples as honey arrived.

First question was do u have a wedding picture...then looked some of them roughly & proceed to next questions. ..

How long u been in relationship?

How it begun

How u communicate?

Then CO said congratulations and told to collect visa next week from DHL office.

Honey carried a lot of evidence copy of FB & viber chat, letters, postcards ,western union receipt , pictures. But the guy didn't ask any of these except photo.

CO returned original documents & kept passport, medical & police certificate.

Ethiopia Embassy will never change. they know in order to enter into the Embassy you need to have a appointment. so this first come first served is not logical specially when one has an appointment in hand and still we have to wait. The system is broken and need fixing from the top to bottom. but know the one willing to hear our voice of concern. we only want our visa's. even if we have to stand out in the rain to get one. Again Congra's to those who have received there interview letters and apporved to come the USA.

Visa issued today! I hope DHL guys will deliver as soon as possible!
