Ok at the us ebmassy they want my wife documents right? Cause my documents it send to NVC also photo copy of her birt certificate and police records and passport are photocopy are sent to the nvc.

she brings copies and originals with her to the interview. your interview letter should state everything to bring and it will also say copy of it as well if they need it. tripped check everything because you don't wan to do great on the interview and miss something and get stuck for weeks. we went through the list and over and over again before the day to make sure we didn't miss anything. but yes she must bring all originals that you sent copies to nvc.

I went back home a couple of months ago. We went to the embassy, however, they told us that there is no one we can talk to in person about this issue. We were told we can submit our request in email to addisiv at state.gov. The reply was obvious....we need more time. It's a complete ignorant, RACIST reply. I know for fact that if I were from U.K. or some "developed" EU member country, they would have approved our request in NO TIME. Anyways, it is what it is. Back to reality......unfortunately

i think AP for all countries are like that though not just Ethiopia. i been watching a few and some were in AP well over 2 years. im not sure how the system works for AP. wonder if you just get thrown in a stack and they work on the load daily or something. wish i knew. i would just keep sending them emails once a month. sooner or later their gonna have to make a decision!

I have been on AP a little over a month. my case has been updated 3 times. how many times have your case has been updated since December?

It was idle for some time and then they start updating it daily since I contact my senator. It has been idle for the last four weeks now. If you don't mind me asking, what was the reason that they put your case in AP status? Did you provide them with the documents they request if that's what they ask? Thanks for the info and Good Luck.

Do we pay the fee for the visa after or we can pay it before ?

there is no visa fee. there is the green card fee. once visa is in hand you can pay it while still in Ethiopia OR once entered in the states you have up to a year to pay it. your visa inside the passport will act as a greencard up to a year
