Hello Everybody,

Just wondering if anyone has gone through "Administrative processing". Our spouse visa application has been on "AP" status since December 2015. I have tried different channels, to no vail. I have contacted the consular office several times. They replied back that they need more time citing case overload. I have contacted my senator two months ago. The Senator office contacted U.S. embassy in Ethiopia and told me that they will contact me once they get reply from the embassy. I'm still waiting on their reply. This process took a toll on us. It's very frustrating and stressful. My observation regarding the delay is that it is the result of illegitimate, discriminating, unfair, and improper implementation of the United States laws on immigration by the U.S. embassy in Ethiopia. Has anyone consulted a lawyer about similar issue? Can any one shed some light on this? Appreciate all your replies.

The AP was due to the fact that they need "more" pictures and "more" evidence of communication. We provided all the requested documents a week after the interview. It has been six months since then. It's like a black hole. I'm really TIRED of waiting. And it seems this is a better place to vent.

I wonder if in the AP section are there anyone from Ethiopia on there? ill have to check it out and see. the AP is literally the black hole of this whole process since they really don't have a deadline date. and we all know when there is no deadline anything goes. I can search around to see if I come up with anything and ill let ya know. but until then vent away. im here atleast

I went back home a couple of months ago. We went to the embassy, however, they told us that there is no one we can talk to in person about this issue. We were told we can submit our request in email to addisiv at state.gov. The reply was obvious....we need more time. It's a complete ignorant, RACIST reply. I know for fact that if I were from U.K. or some "developed" EU member country, they would have approved our request in NO TIME. Anyways, it is what it is. Back to reality......unfortunately
