what I mean by send the whole thing I mean send the whole 129F. don't just send the check mark pages. and yes my husband has his grandfather last name and his father name as his middle name. you go with what is on her ID and what is or will be on her passport. nothing more to that. so if its her grandfather last name on her ID and passport that's what you put. if its her fathers name then put fathers name. good thing about the RFE is they will use your new copy so you can correct whartever needs correcting and they will go with that.

cover letter is something visa journey does. its not what uscis needs.

You mean I should fill a whole new I-129F form out and change information already given to them previously? I feel unsure about that, also the blue sheet says only send back what is asked of me. Wouldn't sending the whole form be doing more than that?

Well I just left another forum that complained of being penalized for changing information, not sure if it was for RFE or what but I feel like that could alarm them. You understood correctly though yes I was going to send them the one page with the checkmarks and leave the name due to the old paperwork and my fear of them taking it as an issue. It just bothers me because her birth certificate is in there I don't see how it will be a problem but I was asking for clarity.

Well going to different boards asking the same questions your probably gonna get different answers. The one who has the correct answer is USCIS. Good thing about them is that they answer pretty quickly. Call them your two questions would be

I got a rfe for missing checkboxes do i need to send the whole form or just the checkmark pages . Your second question would be i made a mistake on the forms with her last name should i send a correct form since i have to send your pages of the form or will it be ok to leave it as such. Im sure you will get your answer

Her name on her ID says Berhanu, and yea I called them and asked and their response was that they don't answer those questions only a lawyer or someone else can give you advice on that they are only allowed to tell me that I should follow the directions carefully :ranting: Such a very ridiculous process

Ok my final and last opinion because i cant help much from here. You got a rfe which gives you a chance to fix whatever mistakes you made. I would send a corrected copy of the whole form including her name corrected and check the boxes that needs to check. I would then add a cover letter since you are correcting other things and simple state . I received a rfe for check marks on my fiance being a relative and the meeting requirements for two years. I have corrected that and also i made a

Mistake in my finace last name so i have also

Corrected that. Sign and date it and send it off. This process isnt something to play with and overlook things because its very simple to fix mistakes. I could understand if your form was approved and already at the embassy then your finace could fix it at the interview but you have an oppurtunity to fix it now. Anyways that

My take on it . Do as you wish. we are here to help with any other questions you have and as well some

May come in and help with these questions as well.

Ok I appreciate it I think I will do that, Also I want to state that I understand it is your opinion and I am very appreciative towards you taking the liberty of responding and in such a quick manner. Maybe you misunderstood my intentions because you keep saying "do as you wish" and "its up to you" my whole basis on asking the question is to understand is it even possible to do that in an RFE or would it be seen as an issue so when you say do as you wish it doesn't help to answer what I am asking. Thank you

Hey, been a while, I am posting here because I know you guys are dealing with ethiopian fiances and embassy so forgive me if it isnt exacftly on the same line of thought as what is being discussed here but.. I recently received a RFE and it is so simple its almost funny... They want me to check on the I-129f form the part that asks is my fiance related to me and if i have been to see her in the last two years ( I guess i forgot to check that off) although I have provided evidence that we have met in the last two years providing pictures with dates on them and stating we met on a dating site....

My question is after I check the two questions and probably write a cover letter, can i also include more info? I was nervous the RFE would be about WHERE I met my fiance since I only put "on a dating site" rather than list where specifically we met and if it is an international broker site so I already contacted the site and they sent me proof.. Can I send them that also even though they did not ask for it ? I wonder did they look through everything also or did they just get three pages into the petition and stop and send that or can they send more RFE's if they see more going on? cause it seems like that is such a minuscle detail I wonder if they went through my whole petition... (P.S. Im not saying its unworthy of an RFE I understand its important to note all that information Im just saying I was preparing for more than just two checkmarks, What should I do? Send the two check marks and thats it or send alot more stuff. I dont know how i can prove shes not my relative and I already sent plenty pictures already so I dont know :clock::crying: )

Thank you Brothers and SIsters

I would advice you to send only what they ask. If you send them the whole application you may end up waiting for another 5 months for them to review it because they may treat it as a new application and yet, you may get another RFE. So, just mark the boxes of on the page that they send you and that is it. Don't put or add anything more.

In regards to how you met your fiancé, as long as you filled something then you are okay. The rest of the reasons is up to to the embassy, USCIS don't care that much about bonafide stuff, they are more into processing your application. You will later meet with the real man - the embassy.

Thank you, I will do that then and hope to see a reply from them soon. It's been three months and just now getting a reply no noa2 feels like forever. Appreciate all the advice and comments God bless you all, I'll let you know what they say.
