Hello friends I want to share my experience during medical checkup, I went to the nearest eligible hospital which is St. yared Hospital. they asked 2 passport size pics, letter from NVC which has interview date, passport. then pay fee , gave blood sample and did chest X-Ray. they gave me 2 weeks to come back for vaccine and collect results in stamped envelop. but if your medical results came back fine, they give you envelop on hand to bring it yourself to interview, if they found problems they directly send your medical results to the embassy and give you small paper describes the results sent to US embassy. finally I want to tell you that you should

prepare your self because female doctor checked me necked I mean she asked me to take off even my underwear and I was shocked. so just prepare for that. anyways doing medical is not so hard but just be sure to go to hospital 2 weeks before your interview and no need of booking.

Finally we got an interview for April 27 after contacting both the senator and congressman just a few days before. I am not sure if it was a coincidence or someone pushed the button to get the interview set. My congressman, in particular, was unhappy with the delay and promised to look into it. I just hope interview councilor won't be as mean in the interviewing as they are in scheduling interviews.

Hey, been a while, I am posting here because I know you guys are dealing with ethiopian fiances and embassy so forgive me if it isnt exacftly on the same line of thought as what is being discussed here but.. I recently received a RFE and it is so simple its almost funny... They want me to check on the I-129f form the part that asks is my fiance related to me and if i have been to see her in the last two years ( I guess i forgot to check that off) although I have provided evidence that we have met in the last two years providing pictures with dates on them and stating we met on a dating site....

My question is after I check the two questions and probably write a cover letter, can i also include more info? I was nervous the RFE would be about WHERE I met my fiance since I only put "on a dating site" rather than list where specifically we met and if it is an international broker site so I already contacted the site and they sent me proof.. Can I send them that also even though they did not ask for it ? I wonder did they look through everything also or did they just get three pages into the petition and stop and send that or can they send more RFE's if they see more going on? cause it seems like that is such a minuscle detail I wonder if they went through my whole petition... (P.S. Im not saying its unworthy of an RFE I understand its important to note all that information Im just saying I was preparing for more than just two checkmarks, What should I do? Send the two check marks and thats it or send alot more stuff. I dont know how i can prove shes not my relative and I already sent plenty pictures already so I dont know :clock::crying: )

Thank you Brothers and SIsters

Thank you Brothers and SIsters

if its just a check mark about fiancé being related then I don't think proof of her not being your relative is needed. no one can prove that someone isn't their relative. so I would just check not relative on the paper and be done with that step.

they did not ask you for any proof about the site you and her fiancé met which means you meet the guidelines for meeting correctly but if its also a check mark stating we met in the last two years then just check mark it off and send it.

I am not telling you what to do so if you want to send more proof by all means send it but I don't think is needed for what you have stated. a lot of people say send as much proof of relationship as poosible but im not sure if you should send it during a RFE but its a build your own case situation so do what you feel.

so check mark those boxes and send it off ! remember, though you know but send the whole thing again not just the pages that are missing. I believe they look through everything they don't have time to stop at one point send a RFE then once it gets there keep going then stop again and send a RFE.. that takes a lot of time they don't have. just like at NVC which you wont take part in they look through everything and send us a letter about EVERYTHING missing not just one and one.

I WOULD send the proof for the site and everything else to your fiancé for the interview though, USCIS is the first step , the interview is the final. you want everything for that interview, more is better

I'm a bit confused by the reply, I guess I will just send back what they asked me which is two simple check marks... They only sent the one page and circled it in red, i dont have the whole thing, just the page that they said something is missing. How can I send the whole thing? Is it ok if I just send back the page, and do I need a cover letter for that?

Another thing, My fiance name is berhanu.. that is her fathers name. Up until recently we were under the impression that that is her last name. I found out that in ethiopia your GRANDFATHER's name is your last name and not your FATHER's name. Its weird because on her ID it just uses the fathers name. Do you think this will be a problem later on?

Thanks

what I mean by send the whole thing I mean send the whole 129F. don't just send the check mark pages. and yes my husband has his grandfather last name and his father name as his middle name. you go with what is on her ID and what is or will be on her passport. nothing more to that. so if its her grandfather last name on her ID and passport that's what you put. if its her fathers name then put fathers name. good thing about the RFE is they will use your new copy so you can correct whartever needs correcting and they will go with that.

cover letter is something visa journey does. its not what uscis needs.
