hey all we got stuck with his medical. said his X rays didn't come back right. so he did 3 days of testing at the end of December and they said 2 months. I looked it up on VJ looks like its gonna take exactly 2 months for the results. since he has no symptoms the results are pretty much going to come back negative. but he has all his paperwork and will be heading there Thursday either they will do the interview and wait for results or tell him to reset the interview after the results.. we are prepared either way.. he will be taking everything! just incase..

we were wating for march 21 for him to come anyways to get the 10 year green card so it put no damper in our plans anyways. so first week of march we should get results then continue..

but ill let ya know what happens Thursday !

I search all VJ and found yea it takes 2 months why I don't know and a lot of people said it was for more money in their pockets. he had to pay the exact amount he paid when he went the first time!! and no idea who is at fault on the xray they didn't tell him anything but to come for 3 days and results will be ready in two months, most of them come back negative which we are hoping on our end. and yea we been set back in every single step of this process I have no strength to even be mad at this extended one, I care less whatever they do it better be all over by march 21st lol

I heard many times they go to a different doctor and results come back nothing wrong in XRAYs and the embassy doctors wont even look at those results crazy process in every way

and by all means if there is something wrong of course I want him to get taken care of but if its just for more money Im not a fan. if he went to another place and it would of came up fine im not a fan. im talking strictly on if nothing is really wrong which in most cases everything is fine

oo its 8 AM where I am and im already tired . my husband called me all through the night hahahah. he was super nervous but it is what it is. he got to the interview and the first thing they asked was birth certificate, marriage certificate and medical. once he said he didn't have the medical they didn't go further and said just make another appointment when medical Is done. I woke up to 6 emails saying how to reschedule interview hahaha they must of hit the send button to many times. the next step will be super easy we finally get to set our own interview woohooo hahaha . anyways we shall see what march brings us! good luck to everyone else doing interviews!!

well all appointments are grayed out i went all the way up til next year to make sure they really wasn't booked so think its because its still the day of , so ill wait a week, Ill check every week until it opens up. ill keep yall posted

I talked to him at 2am lol so it was pretty much him telling me we need to set another date. He is 6 hours from addis so he was traveling all day ill ask him more detail when he calls me tonight . I did ask was alot of ppl there and he said yes ill ask him if he heard anything while sitting

Our case is 4 months since completion. If it reaches 6 months I will send them expedite request basis on unreasonable and unnecessary long delay for interview schedule. You may want to try the same since yours is already 6 months plus.

If your relative lives in the ongoing drought stricken regions of Ethiopia then it’s possible that he/she is not having enough to eat, which is also a basis for expedite request. If you keep waiting only God knows when they will schedule for your interview, this embassy is like dead to IRs of US Citizens.

relax your interview packet is very very simple to read and understand. all you need to do is read it all the way through and you will understand each step! your visa pick up email also is very detailed and will be easy to read as well. im just writing whats already in it but here you go anyways.

i have updated the portal for the correct medical doctors so go there and pick any place you want to attend. yes you need to book your medical you need your interview letter when you go.

you need to set up your DHL pick up for your visa if and when you receive it.

read your whole interview packet and everything that came with it it tells you everything. you will receive another email about your DHL pick up location

http://ethiopia.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visas.html you can read this link as well, it gives you the link to set up your DHL pick up if you don't want to wait for the letter but either is fine. you need your DS260 confirmation number for this step so if you don't have it go back in the form portal go through the ds260 , by just clicking throw all the gray pages and print it out after...
