Interviews for Ethiopia

###### man that's depressing. Ok . Some of my questions along with any advice you may be able to give me based on my information above are as follows:

1) Is the ethiopian interviews usually tough or negative (I ask because I read that with poor countries they tend to lean on it being fraudulent and thus complicating things more) THE INTERVIEW IS PRETTY SIMPLE FROM WHAT I HEAR BUT ITS JUST THE FIANCE VISA ARE TOUGH TO CONVINCE THEM. DO ALL GET DENIED? NO! DO MOST? MAYBE , JUST BE PREPARED FOR EITHER

2) i provided a letter from my work along with the i-129f packet stating I have been working there since 2013 . My boss verified it and signed it along with a few other documents detailing my payments. Is this ok ( There seemed to be so much conflicting statements as to what to send financial wise that I don't even know if financial proof is necessary in this stage) YOU WILL BE ASKED FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT AT THE INTERVIEW AND YOUR EMPLOYEE LETTER IS FINE. IT SHOULD BE ANYWAYS IF YOU CAN ADD PAYSTUBS WITH IT THAT WOULD BE GOOD BUT I BELIEVE IT SAYS EITHER PAYSTUBS OR EMPLOYEE LETTER SO YOU SHOULD BE OK!

3) What is the ethiopian medical exam like? My fiance is terrified of needles lol how long does it last and what do they check for ? YOU WILL GO TO THE MEDICAL AND GET XRAYS AND BLOOD TESTING THEN THEY WILL TELL YOU TO COME BACK IN THREE WEEKS FOR THE REMAINING.. TELL HER TO SUCK IT UP IT WILL BE OVER QUICK! HHAHAHAH

I recently read about IMBRA rules which prior to sending my petition I had absolutely no knowledge about??? i stated in my letter detailing how we met simply that we met online and began talking on facebook whatsapp and the like. Do uou think this is a gueranteed RFE or worse denial? FACEBOOK AND WHATSAPP ARENT UNDER IMBRA SO YOUR OK! OR DID YOU MEET ON ANOTHER SITE AND CONTINUED ON FACEBOOK? IF SO WHAT SITE?

Hey man God bless you for your patience I appreciate that,

So we met on ethiopianpersonals.com I really don't know much about the site to be honest other then that I found it after Google searching liked the people on it and bought a subscription and met the love of my life. I doubt it's an Internet Brooker site but I unfortunately mentioned that I met her on "a dating site" not specifying the site name nor when we met on the site ?. Please understand I had no idea as to what a marriage broker site is and I feel I've given ample evidence as to the validity of our relationship (whatsapp messages facebook etx) I also mentioned that we speak through whatsapp and facebook mostly due to the bad connection when calling but we do talk on the phone and I put whatsapp call logs as evidence ( a few) but most being messages we send each other as that's the main form of communication. Please if it's getting too much to respond to me I would appreciate an inbox or any form of response I am in alot of confusion as to this process is very vaguely and badly explained to me or maybe I am just ignorant one or the other. I am the one who created this thread so there is never to many questions or to many answers.. :) . the thread was made for any process of Ethiopia immigration so ask as many questions as you like. ok what is the rules for imbra site? you said you paid for the site correct? im not familiar with the rules if you post the rules here im sure me or others can break it down for you or if someone else met on that site im sure they will chime in. also you can start a thread call IMBRA site question, it will attract others who had that issue as well.

yes Ethiopia has horrible connection and since the interview will be in Ethiopia im sure they will take this into account during your interview. since you mention just a dating site on your form it might get you a RFE so I would do as much research on this topic so you can have it all prepared when they send it so you can send them what they need right away.

if you have a CC in july I would call NVC and see if you got scheduled or you can just wait for the email but july should be getting scheduling but we are still only half in the month so still have time

did you try calling them? option would be 1 for English then 4 for checking for interview. if you do let us know

its busy a lot but I called the other day and I didn't wait long.. but you might have to keep calling in order to even get through once it starts ringing then you know your through if a guy answers before a ring just hang up and redial. by all means you don't have to call if you don't want to deal with the hassle but if you wanted its an option ..

once you get through no need to hear him speak just hit 1 then when he starts talking again hit 4

I call the NVC and as usually, the same as alway waiting for inteview date to come available. and the Rep advise that they only send out the interview notificatioin on the first and second week of the month. so if anyone is waiting for interview for Feb is not happen. Shhhh ...

My thinking is that US Embassy in Addis may my be scheduling IV interviews once or twice month, and not based on priority as other embassies in other countries. It is also possible that they are doing some kind of experimentation to see how emotional or pissed-of you and spouse can be. Or they are hoping that you divorce due to difficulties they are pushing through.
