Better to be on time! Honey visited all 3 clinics....2 of them said don't have any slot within three weeks. I guess they are busy with medical exams

yea that's exactly what I told him I said better to get it done and taken care of now before its too late. I refuse to have waited 2 years and for him not to have something at the interview!! lol!!

Yeeees interview date 01/11 for my hubby

Does the medical take a long process

woohoo!!. I heard from two people that its pretty simple and no appointment needed just walk in and they take care of you. think you should get everything done soon or at least 2 weeks before the interview so it wont be any mishaps. that's my take on it anyways. congrats again!

When contacted, NVC says the embassy is responsible for interview delays, and on the other had the Embassy (below is the response I got) is saying NVC is the one responsible scheduling interviews. Has anyone tried to contact congress rep or US senator regarding interview holdups for relative petitions in Addis Ababa embassy? It seems to me either NVC or the embassy is laying about the cause for long delays, and if that is true then there is a problem that needs solution from elsewhere. Someone somewhere is not doing their duties as they should!!!

---------------------------------------------------

This is in response to your email dated xxxx concerning the immigrant visa petition of xxxx, case number xxxx.

According to our records, we have not yet received the approved petition from the National Visa Center (NVC). In the meantime, you can contact NVC to inquire about the status of the petition. Please be informed that immigrant visa cases are processed and scheduled for interview by National Visa Center (NVC). The applicant will receive an instruction packet and appointment letter from NVC.

The petitioner can contact the USCIS National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283 (1-800-767-1833 for TYY calls) to inquire about the status of the petition. You many also check case status at https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx.

From april to october they did no interview scheduling for ethiopia not sure what happened but in october they starter back up again but had to start from april. So april got nov interview may got december and june got january. Should they double up the months to catch up ? If possible but seems like they wont. Before it was get a cc then a month later get an interview for the following month but since this back log not sure if everyone is going to have to wait 5 months for now on for an interview. Dont think contacting representivies will help since their back to schedling but i guess it wouldnt hurt if you want to. Something did happen but no one know what!! So not sure when your cc is since im using my phone but to give you an idea they did june this month so july will be next month if they keep with the same trend

5 months is a long sad wait. My CC is September 27, now headed to 3 months in a few days. If they keep with current speed it means our schedule is around March next year - ridiculously long for a 5 minute interview, become that is the duration they need to deny or approve.

Thank you for your input. I will think it over and see what other option are there.

We had our interview today at the U.S. Consulate in Addis. There were a lot of people for interview today as they cancelled all the interviews for tomorrow(dec 23rd) and rescheduled them for today(Dec 23rd Offices are closed for a Muslim holiday in Ethiopia). The waiting room was super-packed. There were two windows dedicated for IV interview. We did our interview around 9 AM. All of us (around 15) were "denied temporarily" due to 221 (g). Basically, asking for more evidence. I am sure the incident happened in California a few weeks ago has caused all this. So, we will go from here and provide them "more evidence." I am sure you can learn what 221 (g) means if you google it. Buckle up and Good Luck to Ya'll.

Sorry to here they issue u a DT (Denied Temp). if you don't mind me asking what evidence did you bring to your interview, and what evidence they was looking for that you did not bring to meet their satisfaction. it crazy to here that 15 different interviews was DT for lack of enough evidence. just how much evidence one must bring to a interview (research time).. :protest:
