Processing time question

For an IR-1/CR-1 case. Once NVC has DS-260 and AOS and supporting documents. Approximately how long until we get an email or letter telling us the case is being sent to the embassy (Manila)?

I looked at the processing link but I couldn't sort out how long this phase takes at NVC. The web site for NVC said 60 days but I'm not sure we can trust that.

Thanks

Once you have case complete than you wait for Interview scheduling. Than your petition is sent out to the embassy. Philippines usually isn't too long of a wait.

Here's the CC to Interview spreadsheet take a look.

Thanks. Will they notify us by email or mail? If by mail will it come to me (petitioner) in the U.S.? and also to my wife in RP? Or to only her? If to her it will be quite slow since mail and delivery where she lives is very slow (far away from any major city).

Then I guess once we get notified we can schedule the interview and medical date online or something?

NVC notifies you like they have always done throughout the process by email to the emails they have on file.

I sent the spreadsheet above to give you an idea of what the timeline is for your country did you look at it. Since 6/27 August interviews have been scheduled for the Philippines. CC's of 6/11 around those dates have been getting dates.

Once you get your P4 letter is when you can go for your medical.

Hi dwheels,

I did look at the spreadsheet earlier. It's great. Thanks for maintaining it. The problem was I didn't see many IR-1/CR-1 Manila cases there. But I contacted a couple of people who have had IR-1/CR-1 cases to see how it was going for them so thanks.

And just to confirm, when we get the P4 letter (I assume that's the email from NVC that says they have approved our AOS, supporting docs and DS-260?) do we have to go schedule the medical online somewhere or just show up there one day and stand in line? I looked up the department of state's specific guidance for Manila and there was no document for the Manila embassy. I also read the pinned medical thread on Philippines sub-forum and it didn't say there how you schedule your medical date.

And also in this thread:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/555216-august-2015-interviews/

it seems like there is mention of calling NVC to get a case complete instead of waiting for an email to be sent to you. How does this work? Can you reference a thread that explains how to accomplish this (if it is a way to speed things up I'd like to try it).

Thanks
