Hello everyone,
After 250 days ( NOA1 on 10-28-21014) of waiting I check again everything that is possible to be checked.
Please even if this is a silly question help us to take our worries away.
The question is clear :
Did we get the I-797 without USCIS updating our status from received to accepted ??
Or is the status "Case Was Received" the correct last statement ???
If I login for my status on USCIS Case Status Page
I have a number of notes, including 3 of them for a change of address.
Now I am wondering of I am missing on the right side a note that tells me that our case was accepted.
We received the email (10-31-2014) that says :
USCIS Acceptance Confirmation
Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS
Texas Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by
standard mail you will receive your official Receipt
Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number SRC159004XXXX.
With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit
www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your case
using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until
you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.
And also we received the paper version in the mail.

On October 28, 2014, we received your Form I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), Receipt Number

Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by November 27, 2014,
please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give
us your new mailing address.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the appl..............

Unfortunately since you are stuck at TSC, there is an extremely lengthy wait. They are only officially working on October 8th, and there is honestly no real order to the things they do. Some people have been waiting even longer than you with no answers. Options that you have are getting a senator or congressperson involved in looking into your case.

Unfortunately, nothing has been done yet to your case. Since it's very very old already.... you might consider ImmiFairy if you'd like to more closely see how many petitions with your "received date" have yet to be processed. It can help you see if you're in the minority and need to get outside help from a congressperson as yuna suggested. Good luck, sending positive vibes your way!
