My fiancé has an appointment this Thursday. He talked to the counselor on the phone today & set up an appointment to bring in all the packet 3 paperwork. We think this might be an interview but not sure.

Just venting a little =(... We got our noa2 on Oct 8th and the stuff still hasn't made it to the NVC so we have no case nr yet and we are just stuck waiting. When we got our noa2 we thought for a second we had been approved early, which turned out to be actually pretty late because we didn't know that since the transfer to the CA Service Center, cases were being approved in less than a month. It still took 3 months instead of the 6 we had prepared for, but now all the time "saved" is being wasted away waiting for things to keep moving. Feel like we got our hopes up for nothing. I know it's all normal but it doesn't make it any easier >:(

Do you have your NOA2. Have you been approved? Has you case been sent to Chile? Do you have your case number?

If you have your case number there is no reason to wait. Head on over to http://chile.usembassy.gov/how_apply_visa.html and continue your journey by gathering your documents and following the instructions as outlined.

Thx, but that was the thing, it hadn't been processed by the NVC yet, so we didn't have a case number and it wasn't in Chile yet.

But luckily, I only needed to vent online for it to start moving. They gave us a case number on the same day I vented here and our case is in transit to chile :)

Thanks!

my embassy doesn't even allow me to pick the appointment date, so I have to wait for this packet to arrive with the whole info. Nerv wrecking.

We contacted the US Embassy in Sydney on Friday, November 13, responding back to the instructions sent by them regarding Packet 3. Today, November 16, we received a response that Kate's interview was scheduled for next Tuesday, November 24. Pretty quick turn around time which we would otherwise be over the moon happy about but due to her being out of the country at the moment she'll not be able to attend the interview on that date and we've contacted the Embassy in regards to rescheduling it.

Now we're both a bit stressed and worried but we don't believe there should be any issues in having the interview rescheduled. We hope there isn't at least
