Call NVC to get your case number as you will need it to start processing everything to ready yourselves for the interview/medical.

There was a letter waiting for my fiancé at home from the NVC the day I wrote this. It contained my case number so it's all good. Also I didn't need my case number to schedule my medical, so it would have been fine regardless :)

Should I be concerned that since leaving the NVC on September 3rd, our status is still in transit? We are on week 4 of waiting for it to arrive to the embassy.

Our first "ready" came yesterday so hopefully it won't be too long before the second and packet 4.

I'm beginning to get nervous that I WONT be crossing before Christmas based on everyone's current interview dates but...holding out hope our plans will still work out :)

Getting so close!

lol.. I'm aware. I explained in my previous post that I couldn't post on the forum so I came on here in search for someone who is also going through London as I know there are quite a few.

Thats strange that you can post here but not at the sub forum.

I finally got my case from the NVC even an invoice number I am not sure what is needed for.. I was searching the sample forms here and there is a form DS230 who fills this out ? and where do I go to get it ? does my fiancé take this to his interview ? I haven't heard many people mentioned this form... also when I go into the ceac.state.gov website it shows ready but the same case number twice is this a problem ? I asked the lady at the NVC if I can fill out the DS160 for my fiancé she said yeah has anyone done that before ? thank you in advance

Just a note to people...at least processing at the Vancouver consulate. My case turned from In Transit to Ready yesterday so I sent Packet 3 (not following the "waiting for the second ready" rule that has been mentioned) and I received my packet 4. So... If people are on a time crunch or just eager, I would suggest sending in the packet 3 as soon as it turns ready ... and... you might get it the same day and not have to wait the extra days.

why does montreal gottaaaa be soo slow.... oh well...

It must be a much busier embassey! When I created my account I was surprised to see under the earliest appointment title that Montreal had no appointments available and Vancouver was Oct 27th.

I ended up taking November 24th ... so the extremely good appointment dates were lost on me and someone else will be able to scoop up that good fortune :)
