If you have your MNL# then you can start the process from the Philippines. If you are waiting 30 days you are wasting time. Details are at my website located below in my signature at the twisting arrow. Every step of the way is outlined there for the USEM in the Philippines.

Keep in mind that a forum like this one is for initial bonding with others who are along the same timeline as you for initial processing. The initial application is the same no matter where in the world you are. But, having said that, once you get your approval (NOA2 text message or email), you should move over to your country's sub-forum to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with, and to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to at the US Embassy Philppines.

How many days did you have to wait before you get your case number?

There is a great tool here on VJ that would answer that question for any one you want to know who has started a time line. Below the person's picture you'll see a link "timeline" and it will take you to their timeline, and just look through there steps. It also does the math for you.

Here is the answer from their timeline: Your I-129f was approved in 20 days from your NOA1 date.

If not, where do I get the Manila Case Number?

Each Embassy has a case number. That number starts with a three letter prefix followed by numbers. Philippines is MNL for manila. Canada is MTL for Montreal so on and so forth.

Are you familiar with the Philippines sub-forum? If not, you will have questions and you can ask the experts there for additional help if needed.

Keep in mind that a forum like this one is for initial bonding with others who are along the same timeline as you for initial processing. The initial application is the same no matter where in the world you are. But, having said that, once you get your approval (NOA2 text message or email), you should move over to your country's sub-forum to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with, and to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to at the US Embassy Philippines (USEM).

Also, I have created a guide for the processing through USEM. It's a step by step of your journey and includes, "gotchas", maps, document links and so much more. It's FREE to use. The tabs are laid out for each process that you will complete on your journey. When you finish with that tab, then move onto the next one when it's time. So for you, you should be about here. If not then look through the menus and find your place.

If you have any questions, it's best to ask in the PI sub-forum.

Good luck and see over in the sub-forum.

Arrange the pictures in any order or use any method you want. Just be sure that the person adjudicating your case does not have to fumble through your RFE or a stack of pictures, it will only delay the process. Keep it simple and easy to follow!

Exactly what I had in mind when I made the I-129 packet. It should be an easy review for the adjudicator that he can easily flip on the pages and he can easily see the chronology. I actually made cover pages on each for each documents i.e. Letter of Intent attached, Petitioner, Beneficiary, Photos. ; Proof of meeting in person for the last 2 years, Divorce Decrees- Petitioner, Annulment Papers - Beneficiary, etc. I also made a footer on all pages so that in case a page will be misplaced it has our names on it. Blame it on me, it's a habit influenced by my profession to be that thorough.

Now I am preparing for my medical and interview. :)

Thanks i think we're all done. I put our pictures in word with dates and captions, I also included facebook posts, explanation of how we met, plane tickets, bank transactions, passport and visa pictures and a cover page. I uploaded them onto dropbox for my fiance because he needs to assemble the pack and mail it. Hopefully he will mail it today.

Thanks for you help! Here's hoping we'll hear something soon.

Just checked our status on CEAC and this is what it says... "Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center." I didn't receive an interview date? I thought that was only scheduled once I sent the form in saying we had all the documentation ready? Do I call the NVC to see what this is all about?

I'm a little concerned if they have scheduled a date for us because we aren't ready just yet - I need to wait another 6 weeks for all of my police reports (I lived in China & Korea.. so I need those two plus a UK police certificate)

If anyone could let me know what's going on, please do!

I had a look around online and people last year were saying its a general message that it sent out to everyone but does not apply to the K1 visa.

So I guess we ignore it and continue on with our paper work.

Does anyone know when we can file for the DS-160?

From the sounds of it, I think you have this "bull by the tail" and your not letting go. I love the positive approach your taking.

The dropbox usage is an idea I fully endorse as it is the means to which my wife and I were able to get through this process without a hitch. I hope others do the same as it can save expenses and time.

Let us know the outcome of your RFE please. Good luck.

Keep in mind that a forum like this one is for initial bonding with others who are along the same timeline as you for initial processing. The initial application is the same no matter where in the world you are. But, having said that, once you get your approval (NOA2 text message or email), you should move over to your country's sub-forum to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with, and to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to at the US Embassy UK.

Those in this thread, are applying from various Embassies around the world and there are different process for each. So what works in Russian, Philippines or UAE may not work for those processing through the UK. VJ sub forum is for all things dealing with the US Embassy in the UK and the members there will answer your questions for the processing of your visa from their personal experience. Link:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/

Get the UK K1 Embassy Letter (EL) at http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/as this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use the EL as a check list. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview. If it is not on the Embassy letter, it probably is not needed.

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for you country so that you are up to speed.

Good luck and God's speed.
