Hi how long did it take you for you to receive the RFE in the mail ? we have an RFE too and I am waiting for the letter in the mail to find out what is for

It took 4 days for us to receive our hard copy. We got an RFE notice on the 18th and received the hard copy in the mail on the 22nd. Depending on what state you're in it should be less than 5 days for it to be delivered since its mailed out of California. Not counting Sundays since USPS does not deliver on Sunday.

I got the email notification on August 11th and my fiance received it in the mail on August 15th.

It said in the email if we didn't have it by September 10th to call for an electronic version so some must take up to a month to be received. I hope yours arrives soon!

Called NVC at the non-immigrant visa number. Got thru on the first try, and was on hold for about 30 minutes. Case still hasn't arrived, and the guy said that "the timeframe on that is 35 days, and from what I've seen lately it's running pretty close to that". But he did say it could arrive as early as the end of next week.

So we keep waiting...

How can i know if consulate receive the case after having the case number?

Not sure if this is doing it right or not (and if I'm not, someone can correct me), but my fiancee is filling out the DS-160 now. After that she's going to call the consulate every day to see if she can schedule her medical and interview.

If you have paid your visa fee then completing your DS-160 is the next step. The DS-160 requires the visa payment receipt number.

You'll get more specific answers to your questions since most of the members there have more experience then those that are here. That's only because those that are here are going through the same thing you are but the answers should be geared to the Embassy and the process from that Embassy that you will be having your interview in front of. What Japan requires, Ireland or Russia may not.

Called the NVC for the first time today. It's been exactly 14 days since my NOA2 notice date so I expected the answer I got, which is that its not in the system and it usually takes 35 days. I think my next call will be next week on the 21st day. Then again on 25 days after my notice date.

I was ready to wait 30min to over an hour but suprisingly I got through in about 20 minutes.

I'm not familiar with Haiti's visa payment process, but I did find this on their website:

The current fee for processing an immigrant visa application is $325.00 per applicant. These fees are normally paid directly to the National Visa Center. Fees should not be paid at the embassy unless requested specifically by a consular employee. If an individual is requested to pay at the U.S. Embassy by a consular employee, the fee can be paid in US dollars or Haitian gourdes to the Consular Section’s Cashier only. Traveler's checks may be accepted under certain circumstances. We do not accept personal checks. You can pay with the following credit cards: Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express. Please note that the current exchange rate at the consular section is 48.00 Gourdes to one U.S. dollar.

Yes, I'm monitoring that forum. No real specific questions at this point; so far, we've been doing fine figuring it out on our own with the available resources. Thanks for the recommend.

If you find that you pay the Embassy they will give you are receipt is my guess and you can use to input in your DS-160. Anyways, always glad to help.

I called this morning - 5A.M Philippine time, and the agent told me that they haven't received our case yet but others already have their case numbers. If I can't get my case number this week then it will probably by 1st week of September.

Omg just got the NOA2 notice on the app!!!! Was so worried because our NOA1 was July 29 and most others had gotten theirs.... And it's our anniversary today to boot!! Best of luck to everyone - so happy to be in the home stretch ))))
