Hi

We might be going to Memphis um, tomorrow, for the weekend, and we're not sure what to do besides Rock and Blues history stuff. Anyone have any off-the-beaten-track or on-the-beaten-track tourist tips?

  • Pyramid
  • There is also a boat-ride on the Mississippi (dunno if it operates in winter)
  • drive to West Memphis (AR) on I-40 over Mississippi river
  • walk around downtown (there are lots of event marker stones which can only be enjoyed this way)

(the last one I actually did when I worked/lived in Memphis in 2004, as I lived walking-distance--as in about 2.5 km--from work.)

Also, one can drive to Jackson (Casey Jones museum), Nashville, Birmingham, etc (some nice scenery on these drives).

2008/08/22 I-751 biometrics completed

2009/06/18 I-751 approved

2009/07/03 10-year GC received; last 0.5 done!

2009/07/23 Pras files N-400

2009/11/16 My 46TH birthday, Pras N-400 approved

2010/03/18 Pras' swear-in

We always go down to Beale Street for the whole walk downtown and the trolly ride thru old downtown. Then we spend the evening in West Memphis, AR at the dog races!
