Any news about DCF filers waiting for Montreal interview?

Thanks for the update! We are at about the exact same timeline as you are - we filed our I-130 on September 12, 2006 and Montreal received our packet 3 on October 13, 2006. So we're very close to your timing. I know by now to take anything anyone associated with immigration says with a grain of salt...but at least now the hurdle that was holding us all back (Adam Wash Act) is done with and we're back to the normal process so it looks promising.

Glad they gave you somewhat of a definitive timeframe as to when you'll get the interview as vague as "May" is it's better than "uhhh we have no idea." Everyone says Montreal is so slow but really for any communication we've had with them they've been pretty quick - quicker than we've expected when sending out the packets and stuff....so hopefully the 4-12 weeks thing is just worst case estimate to cover their butts and we'll all be nicely surprised in April with some good news.

My fingers will remain crossed...for all of us!

Ok called Montreal today. Glad to find out they mailed my letter for Adam Walsh clearing on the 9th but i still haven't gotten it.....

I also asked about my interview and they said we will have one by May. So a couple more months I suppose but at least it was an answer

We are close to same time frame.. I have a email out requesting further on our interview date..

Not sure about DCF'ers but for the K1'ers , k3'ers it seems to be taking awhile for MTl to assign interview dates, for 1 k3'er it was nearly a 6 month wait from time Mtl had Checklist to interview date.

Great News!!!!!!

I got an e-mail from Montral today saying they mailed my interview letter yesterday!!!! The only crappy thing is they didn't give me the damn date! Darryl and Colin you are going to get yours soon if I got mine coming!!!!! OMG i'm so releived!

Nope i'm in Winnipeg but had to go to Calgary to do the DCF. More like 12 days for mail here.....LOL. I'm excited and scared all at the same time.....its like this day would never get here!!! I will let you know the date as soon as I get that letter!

sorry for being selfish here, but my question is: What about me??!!! as mentioned before, my packet 3 was received by montreal in late september 2006. i too, have yet to receive the letter darryl or colin have already received. when i emailed montreal, they said that i was awaiting an interview, but they did not mention that any letter was being sent to me!!

so, now i don't have a letter confirming that they have proceeded with my application, and i don't have an interview letter either! should i be worried??

Matt I would call Montreal and ask them about the letter. That is what I did and they told me the day they mailed it and I received the letter a couple of days ago. They wanted to know how I knew about the letter and I told them that I talk to other people going through the same thing and then they told me the date. I was worried too since my letter came later than others but I would call them.

WOOOO Freakin' HOOOO!! Congrats on the interview date, that is awesome! Too bad it's a ways off in the distance but hey at least it's a date to circle on the calendar and wait anxiously for! We're really happy for you and hope the same good things will come through for the rest of us.

Keep us posted as to your preparations leading up to the big day (medical, document checklist, etc)...you know we're all curious!!

The people here can tell you about their experience and whats happened with them but we can't give you much details about your case. My recommedation would be to email them, phone them, see whats going on. They're usually pretty good at getting back to emails and letting you know the status.

I spoke to Montreal today (20 min wait on line) I have not been booked for an interview yet, as of today March 26/07 .." Not for sure" .. possible booking by end of week says the operator but no

guarantees .
