We had our interview in June 2006, the name check was started in February 2006 about one week after NOA1 and since our interview, not even a touch. We did the inquiry over the phone and we recieved the "call us back in 6 months letter" so its been over 12 months in name check. Should we be worried? could it take another year? or more? Who has been waiting the longest for their name check on this forum?

It is not that easy, there is no way of knowing how many "hits" the permutations of the name got, so there is no real way of knowing how long it is going to take.

it you feel it is taking too long, talk to an immigration attorney and see if you can file a Writ of Murdamas (sp?) to force the decision.

nothing in this process is fair-some are approved in weeks, some years. There is no rhyme or reason to any of it!!!!!

Third one filed recently. Three trips to the local BCINS headquarters. One congressional inquiry. Nothing resolved. Never an RFE. Pure boolshit!
