We received a letter about 4 weeks ago, saying that our interview is waived and that we should expect to hear from them in about

6 months, due to them being so busy. Two days ago, I received the approval and now my card is in the mail :) That went way faster

than expected!

Hi everyone! Congrats to all the recent approvals!!! I've got my interview on Monday and I'm a bit worried. My husband and I don't have much proof. We've been married for almost 5 years now. But all I've got for the interview are pictures, utility bills, a lease, and we've got a 6 year old son. I'm worried that it won't be enough!!

They say each case is different right? Well don't worry yourself you will be fine but just to make you feel a lil better here is a lil scenario of my case: We are only married for 1 yr with a 3year old daughter but been together for 5yrs. We only showed birth certificate for her, pictures of us and some family members together here and in Jamaica plus a joint phone bill. We had nothing more to show just that and genuine love that we have. So don't worry yourself just be yourself and tell the truth.

Hi, everyone! So.. We're a little late to the party! :) I hadn't been on VJ much since we applied for AOS because we had 2 weddings to plan for afterwards, and it was mass chaos! So I've just now found this! :) We also had our interview waived - does anyone know why they decide to waive some interviews and not others? After all the poor luck we've had in this whole process and with our weddings, we're just happy to not have another thing on our minds! Green card is in the mail, woohoo!

Congratulations to everyone who has gotten green cards, and we wish the best of luck to those with interviews! Be confident in your love for each other, and show them that! :) We're so glad that this stage is just about over, and we can just enjoy marriage!

I've heard it is just random whether or not they waive or schedule an interview...

Quick update, we had our interview with our attorney present in Chicago. The questions were very basic and we were verbially approved on the spot. Our attorney warned us that sometimes we can be approved and then the officer will forget to put it in the system and just place our file to the side. Well that appears to be what happened, almost two weeks later our status states interview scheduled. Our attorney told us this isn't a big deal and she will email after two weeks for an update. We are excited that all of this is past us but anxiously awaiting the status change.

Hi all,

I filed my AOS July 1st and I have not heard anything about interview being waived or scheduled yet :clock: . Most of people who filed with me got either their interview or their interview was waived. What should I do? :crying:
