EAD and AP were approved on October 16th! I received emails about the approvals yesterday - YAY! I got the approvals without the need for a biometrics appointment. Thank God!

Hello guys,

I just received a letter from USCIS indicating a potential interview waiver AND a delay of 6 months on my application from the date of the letter (october 14)... Because of quote workload factors not related to your case...

Wow - seems like it processed faster if you don't get an interview waver!

Has anyone from Buffalo NY heard anything about an interview yet? I'm on day 112 and nothing yet.

My local office is Buffalo too, but I thought you were adjusting from non-immigrant visa? (As am I.) I have concluded that the process takes place on a sufficiently different timeline from those adjusting from K-1. (As one example, NPIWs are common for K-1 adjusters and virtually unheard of for those from non-immigrant visas.) I still look at progress updates here, but I wish our other thread was more active since it would be more informative for our type of cases.

But anyway -- to your question: no, I have also not heard anything, but am not even waiting with bated breath. Buffalo is behind (my estimate is that they are currently processing applications from mid-February) and has traditionally been at 6+ months of processing time. On top of it they are moving to a new locations part of this and next week! See here: http://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices/new-york-buffalo-field-office. I am sure this has impacted things additionally, even if not too much. For me it's been 106 days since receipt of application and 74 since receipt of RFE response and I will feel lucky if we get notice for an interview before the end of the year.

I hope I am wrong and we both get a pleasant surprise soon, of course. :)

I don't see the sense for you to go because it was reschedule and I don't think your file will be available for the I/O to adjudicate. Just my opinion still maybe others have a better answer. It must be a reason why it was reschedule.

08/18/15 RFE received Sponsor don't meet poverty guideline

08/25/15 Respond to RFE with Job Letter and 9 months pay stubs

08/26/15 RFE delivered and signed for

08/27/15 Online Status RFE received etc..

09/15/15 Called USCIS about EAD/AP and was told I had to summit the applications over because they can't be found.

09/16/15 Sent off package to Chicago Lockbox

09/16/15 Online status Case is ready to be scheduled for an Interview

09/17/15 EAD/AP delivered to Chicago Lockbox and signed for again

09/22/15 Online status interview schedule for Oct0ber 23, 2015.

09/24/15 Interview notice in hand dated Sept 18, 2015.

10/23/15 Interview done took about 5mins but wasn't approved because of incomplete medical form.

10/23/15 Request For Evidence #2 delivered to me by I/O.

10/26/15 Received text/email I-130 approved on 23/10/15 and a notice mailed.

10/30/15 Received I-130 Approval Notice.

11/05/15 Delivered my RFE at Hialeah Field Office

11/06/15 Received text/email stating New Card Is Being Produced.

11/13/15 Online status show: On Nov 13, 2015 we mailed your New Card, for receipt number ****to address you gave us.

11/16/15 Green Card in my hand

Thank you for the info! And yes, I'm adjusting from J1. Honestly, as long as I get my green card by next spring so i can go home to see my family, I'll be ok! Having a full time job makes this waiting way more bearable! Keep me posted with your case though and I will do the same!

Had my interview on Friday October 23, 2015 and my I-130 was approved after I was only asked three question. I however got a Request for Evidence for my I-485 because the I-693 wasn't completed properly by the Doctor. So upset but what can I do but go back to the Doctor to have it done properly and mailed it back to my Field Office in Hialeah.

It's hard to say anything if you don't have your timeline or signature filled out. The processing time depends on, whether or not you had RFE. For example, my EAD was approved in 102 days. But I received RFE. After I submitted RFE it took them exactly 3 weeks to produce my combo card.
