Hi Pishi Pishi, I just checked your timeline. My USCIS Case Status is the same as yours - "Fingerprint fee was received..". But unfortunately, unlike you guys, I still haven't received my Biometrics Appointment letter. This is after 64 days that the USCIS NBC has received my application, as dated in my NOA. At least you have done biometrics, so it means that your case is being processed. I will have to go and call for a second service request on Monday. As the 30th day after I have called for a service request will be tomorrow Saturday - no office. :( San Fernando Valley USCIS is giving me a headache with the runaround as to why I haven't received my Biometrics. I have had no RFE's so far. Plus my DS3025 is going to expire next week Oct 09. Which I find funny, everybody keeps saying that it expires 1 year, why is it that our medical from K1 from London expires 6 months after? Anyways, good luck to us in this perennial waiting game.

Ohh nooo...over 2 months and no bio??? Something is wrong! Keep calling them. Most reps don't know the answer and just tell you to wait. Try to reach a supervisor or Tier 2. I really hope you get it soon.

As to DS3025 it valid 6 months for visa, but then 1 year for AOS. I read many people get RFEs to make new medical while they wait for green card because 1 year passed. Good luck and keep me updated.

Good morning everyone, I'd like to share my GC interview experience with you all, especially those who are going to the Cleveland office.

My husband and I went to the GC interview this past Friday. It went very well, and we were basically approved on the spot.

The interview time was scheduled at 10:30a. We arrived 15 minutes early, and waited for about 30 mins before my name was called. There were quite a few people in the waiting area before us, and most of them were still there by the time we were leaving.

Our interview was conducted by a very friendly lady, and another male officer who was sitting in the back of the office taking notes. She had the whole application package I submitted in front of her, verified my husband and I's personal information while browsing through. She also took our passports at the beginning of the interview, but returned them at the end.

The questions we were asked were: how did you first meet? When did you start dating? Had you lived together before marriage? What is your plan after getting the green card (we currently are living apart due to work related reason). The whole interview took about 15 mins, and we didn't get questioned separately.

At the end of the interview, she told us she was going to recommend for approval, and asked if there was any questions. So I asked her if that meant we were approved. Her answer was that she needed to run a background check, but she didn't see it would be a problem (so basically it was an approval). She also said we should receive online update that same day or next. In deed, I got a text update as soon as we walked out of the USCIS building.

Hope my experience will be helpful to you.

Oh thank you for clarifying it for me. So I guess, my medical won't expire until next year. At least that's one sort of relief. But I still haven't received my Biometrics appointment letter. I called again as the 30 days is over, and they said all they can do is make another service request which the NBC needs to assign somebody within 21 days. I have also just learned that despite the fact that I have already called and asked for a service request, nobody assigned my case to a case officer!! UUUuggghhh!!! Like really!!! I am soo angry and frustrated right now.

On the other hand, I did woke up with a smile, as I received the electronic notification that my AP was approved. Funny thing is I've also received an electronic notification that my name was updated for my I 765 EAD, when I didn't request for any name change. All names submitted for EAD,AP, AOS were in my married name, thus now I am a bit anxious when it said that my name was updated.

Hey bonzaigirl!

It looks like I'm in the same boat as you and Pishi Pishi. My paperwork was received on July 28th and I still have not gotten my biometrics appointment letter in the mail. I called the first time after 30 days and a service request was done for me. I used my I-485 receipt number. Does that matter?

Anyway, I got a letter in the mail (in reply to my service request) a few days later pretty much telling me to continue to wait. So I waited and then called again near the end of September. I spoke to a Tier 2 agent (I believe) and she told me to call back if I had not received anything in the mail by October 4. So I called this morning and spoke with a lady who asked me to read the service request letter to her. Then she told me to wait (I was vexed). I called again a few minutes later and spoke with a nicer lady. This time I used my I-765 receipt number and she placed a service request for me. Should I have done that? Or used my I-485 number again?

Idk what else to do besides wait! But I'm nervous that my paperwork may have been lost or that something may be wrong with it. And I completely forgot that my medical will expire in Feb/March. Ughhhhh.

7/24/2015 - Sent AOS/EAD/AP

My RFE has been pending for 2 months now? What does this mean? Am I just waiting for an interview date? Or is my case still being worked on? I received my EAD card in the mail last week after 88 days of waiting. My local field office is in Chicago. Is there anything I can do to check why my RFE response has been pending for so long?

Great .. Request for initial evidence . Is that the same as an RFE ? Cus I know last time I called I was told there is request for evidence and request for initial evidence but I don't remember the difference

I'm so drained . This is the 3rd RFE. My only hope is that at least they aren't denying it

Why you continue to get these RFE? Is it the same affidavit of support? You need to get it right this time. I hope I can assist you because it must be real hard on you getting all those RFE. I don't think there is much of a difference between the two. However i think the Request for initial evidence is simply asking for SPECIFIC DOCUMENTS IN THE INSTRUCTION FROM USCIS. I maybe wrong but please follow the instructions....
