Hi guys,

Congrats to all of you who got approvals and fingers crossed for the ones who are still waiting.

I sent my AOS packet on July 1st, my EAD was approved on Sep 3rd. I am still waiting to receive interview date. The online status has not changed for about 4 months (Fingerprint fee received). Should I call them and see why it is taking so long? I noticed other applicants have received their interview letter. Does it depend on the city you live in? Any suggestions?

Hi, I'm not sure what city in Texas you are in, but my local office is Dallas, TX and right now the processing time for Dallas is about a year. You can check https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.doto get a better idea of the processing time for your local office.

Hi, I'm not sure what city in Texas you are in, but my local office is Dallas, TX and right now the processing time for Dallas is about a year. You can check https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.doto get a better idea of the processing time for your local office.

I received an interview date for 10/23/15 and my Field Office is Hialeah FL but when I check the process time on the website it say January 2015. So the processing can be a little off or misguiding. I still haven't received my EAD/AP so I don't know if that's d reason for the early interview date.

07/13/15 Finger print fee received

07/15/15 Text and email confirmation

07/21/ 15 Received hard copies of Notice of Action

07/24/15 Biometric Appointment notice for 08/06/15

08/06/15 Biometric completed at Hialeah field office

08/13/15 Online Status RFE sent off today's date

08/18/15 RFE received Sponsor don't meet poverty guideline

08/25/15 Respond to RFE with Job Letter and 9 months pay stubs

08/26/15 RFE delivered and signed for

08/27/15 Online Status RFE received etc..

09/15/15 Called USCIS about EAD/AP and was told I had to summit the applications over because they can't be found.

09/16/15 Sent off package to Chicago Lockbox

09/16/15 Online status Case is ready to be scheduled for an Interview

09/17/15 EAD/AP delivered to Chicago Lockbox and signed for again

09/22/15 Online status interview schedule for Oct0ber 23, 2015.

09/24/15 Interview notice in hand dated Sept 18, 2015.

10/23/15 Interview done took about 5mins but wasn't approved because of incomplete medical form.

10/23/15 Request For Evidence #2 delivered to me by I/O.

10/26/15 Received text/email I-130 approved on 23/10/15 and a notice mailed.

10/30/15 Received I-130 Approval Notice.

11/05/15 Delivered my RFE at Hialeah Field Office

11/06/15 Received text/email stating New Card Is Being Produced.

11/13/15 Online status show: On Nov 13, 2015 we mailed your New Card, for receipt number ****to address you gave us.

11/16/15 Green Card in my hand

That's true. Someone in the June thread had his interview waived and just received notification that his green card was in production. He had earlier mentioned something about cases being worked in Guam to ease the case load for the busier offices. Hopefully that would be the case for ours.

Any Chicago July filers received interview dates yet? Current processing time for I-485 says November 2014!! Please tell me this is a joke!!

I'm a Chicago filer, and no I haven't received my interview date yet. It says Nov 2014 but I don't think it's accurate. I was told that interviews would take 7-8 months, however I know a June filer who has an interview later this month so we just have to be patient but our interview dates will def. b before the end of the year.

It depends a lot on your city. Our timeline is very close to yours, and we haven't heard anything either. I checked the processing times for my local office on the USCIS site, and it seems to be pretty behind.

Thanks to the long K-1 wait, we're used to it. :)

Thanks for the answer Vicky & Fritz. I think people in small cities will get their interview date earlier than the ones in large cities. I live in a mid-size city (Austin,TX) so, I suppose it will take a while.

I think the people who received their interview and GC already are pretty lucky. That's really fast. I'm not really expecting to hear anything about my wife's GC application until spring.

Yeah, You are right Karling. I'm glad I have my EAD, it's a big relieve. Hope you get yours ASAP :luv:

I live in Austin, TX but it doesn't have a local office so I just selected Houston, TX which is the closest. The process time in Houston was January 2015 by the end of July.

Some of July AOS filers have received their interview but most of us are still waiting impatiently. Hopefully before the end of this year, we will have our interview date scheduled. :clock:

EAD card received in the mail today. Yayyy! Also my I-485 has been in RFE review stage for 2 months now. I submitted an error fix on that application about a week ago and saw that they assigned an officer yesterday to fix the name change error. Please tell me that this officer is the same officer that can move my status RFE review to "ready to schedule interview"! Or is that wishful thinking??
